The lid can be removed and the unit can sit comfortably in the base of the case when in use, there is also space to the rear for cable access. The case is foam lined to protect it during transport and is secured shut by a butterfly catch on the front and hinges on the rear. You can carry this case comfortably thanks to the surface handle.
