The HD2VGAE2 HDMI® to VGA adapter allows you to connect an HDMI output from your laptop, ultrabook, or desktop computer onto a VGA monitor or projector, saving the cost of upgrading to an HDMI compatible display. Intended for outputting user generated content such as presentations, and work documents, the HDMI to VGA converter can also work to increase your productivity by extending your computer's desktop onto a secondary monitor, doubling available workspace.

PLEASE NOTE: This adapter will not work with Samsung Chromebooks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed to connect an HDMI laptop to a VGA projector My old laptop had a VGA output port that connected to them majority of projectors, but my new one has HDMI output and wouldn't connect. I was loaned one of these, and it performed perfectly, so I knew that buying one was a safe bet. I made a mistake first off of buying the wrong adapter, so when I bought this one from Scan I checked and checked and checked! There is no software to install, it just plugs and works. The big block with a VGA connector allows the main project lead to screw-in as well, which is a step up from some laptop outputs of the VGA kind.
