This stylish headphone/DAC combination, available in 3 sweet finishes, delivers the main features of SPL’s pro-fi headphone amplifiers are famous for, such as naturalistic crossfeed, a high-grade audiophile DAC, and buckets of clean output power thanks to the 120V VOLTAiR technology inside.
The 120V rails head straight from their mastering gear found in high-end studios across the globe and are a huge factor behind the Phonitor se’s ability to drive up to 5W of output power for each channel into headphones, doing so ever so cleanly, with no distortion. The Phonitor se’s crossfeed switch enables you to accurately recreate the effect of speakers in y our headphones at will, removing the often stringent and extreme separation of the usual headphone listening experience. The DAC offers full support for up to 768 kHz for PCM audio, and DoP (DSD over PCM) up to 20 DSD 256.

Volume & Source SelectionThe volume is adjusted with a milled all-aluminium rotary knob. The Alps RK27 “Big Blue” potentiometer provides a pleasant “spoon in honey” turning feeling. In addition to an analogue source, three other digital sources can be connected to the Phonitor se with the optional DAC.
Headphone Output with PowerThe Phonitor se offers a 6.35 mm jack for connecting headphones with jack plug. Up to 2 x 5 watts of output power is available at this socket. This allows even very power-hungry headphones such as magnetostats or electrostats to be driven effortlessly.
The RevolutionIn the headphone amplifier is the Phonitor Matrix, with switchable crossfeed, that allows you to listen to music through headphones with the sound experience of listening through speakers.
