Product Overview
It's time to move into the modern era, where USB ports are now Type C, with 10Gbps transfer speeds. The Sonnet Allegro USB-C PCIe Dual-Port gives you an expansion card that'll keep your machine up to date and with speedy data transfers.
Installation is easy and the Allegro supports every OS available. Simply slot it into a free PCIe slot on your motherboard or in your PCIe expansion card system. Features
Technical Support/Notes
Linux supports only 5Gb transfer rate as of 4.12.13 Kernel.
macOS erroneously reports a 5Gbps connection when connected at 10Gbps.
Not compatible with Thunderbolt 1 PCIe Expansion systems, which have PCIe Gen 1.1 slots. Not compatible with multi-slot Thunderbolt 1 expansion systems that have been upgraded to Thunderbolt 2, because they still have PCIe Gen 1.1 slots. Compatible with single-slot Thunderbolt 1 PCIe expansion systems that have been upgraded to Thunderbolt 2, because they have PCIe Gen 2 slots.
