Rated 2 out of 5 by from Niche This is a Reverse break out cable, that's what the 'RE' stands for. It is absolutely worthless for connecting SATA drives to a SAS/SATA PCIe Controller Card. If you are buying such a card and came here because other customers bought this cable then they did so in error and wasted time and money sending it back. In the unlikely event that you have a multi-drive bay or backplane with a mini-SAS connector that you want to connect to the SATA connectors on your mobo then fill your boots, this cable is just what you are looking for.
