Instrument transmitter
Sennheiser’s powerful ‘XSW 1-835-E’ packs superb sound quality and simple ease-of-use, into a road-ready wireless system. The transmitter utilises an 'e835' (superior dynamic, cardioid) capsule, and that's not the only difference between the 825 and 835 versions. The 835 is for vocalists that might feel the need for a little help cutting through the mix, it differs to the 825, in that, a gentle boost is present at 3kHz – 5kHz to help with vocal presence.
The 'XSW 1-835-E' has a number of handy features too, such as the one-button scanning and syncing functionality, perfect for arrival upon the venue when set-up time is critical!

Automatic Frequency Management
focus on your performanceSennheiser engineered the 'XSW 1-835-E' for performers who desire to focus 100% on the job in hand, and less so on wires and hardware. Just turn the 'XSW 1-835-E' on and allow the ‘Automatic Frequency Management’ to do what’s left. In the most optimal of environments, it’s possible to connect up to 10 wireless devices simultaneously, all without ever having to search for frequencies manually.
825 or 835?
that is the question…So you’ve decided upon XS Wireless 1, but perhaps you’re not quite sure which capsule to go with. In most cases, the 825 is everything one could need in a vocal mic—quality sound packaged in a design built to last.
While the 825 is optimal for speech, the 835 is for vocalists that desire a little more help to cut through the mix. Boasting a gentle boost at 3kHz – 5kHz to help with vocal presence, and then enhanced frequencies up to 12kHz for added brightness, the 835 helps your voice shine right out of the box.
