Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality vocals microphone at a fine price The Sennheiser E835S is an excellent alternative to the 'legendary' Shure SM58. In my opinion it is better suited to male vocals than the Shure. It is also just as rugged. The on-off switch is completely silent in operation too. Overall - very hard to fault!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mic for the money I did a lot of reading (and listening) before ordering this mic, to find what was likely to be the best sub-£100 dynamic XLR mic for my needs as a DJ and occasional radio presenter. I bought the e-835 (rather than the venerable Shure SM58, which I've used frequently) after reading lots of favourable reviews. I wasn't disappointed. Sounds better than a SM58 to my ear, with less of a proximity effect. Sounds good for the price (£75 when ordered) and feels like it should last.
