sE Electronics - X1 A
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
the perfect choice for any musicianThe sE Electronics X1 microphone made its debut in 2011 and introduced a new level of quality to its price point, easily competing with microphones at a much higher price range. sE Electronics have taken it even further with a newly-developed condenser capsule and an exterior inspired by the rugged metal chassis of the X1. The X1 A delivers world-class sound and specifications at an even more accessible price, featuring an impressively natural frequency response, huge SPL-handling capabilities of 150dB, selectable attenuation and low-cut filters, with a perfectly balanced sensitivity level, ideal for recording any sound source.

Completely New Acoustic Design
A work of artThe X1 A's new condenser capsule design is truly a work of art, capturing in incredible detail from any source with incredible speed, accuracy, and well-balanced frequency response.
The electronics have also had a complete overhaul, and exhibit better specifications and sound, on and off the test bench than any other microphone in its class.
Attenuation & Low Cut Switches
Incredibly User-FriendlyThe -20 dB pad switch on the left offers extended dynamic range, allowing for a wide range of applications and close-mic techniques for even the loudest instruments, such as super-heavy electric guitars, fortissimo brass instruments, and heavy-footed kick drums.
On the right, the 100 Hz low-cut switch helps reduce low-frequency rumble or footfall noise, and compensates for excessive bass with close-mic techniques (proximity effect).
