with 16-step SequencerFirst conceptualised as a drum machine accompaniment to Roland’s ‘TB-303’ Bassline synth, the original ‘TR-606’ was a portable, simple to program machine with an extremely cool aesthetic. However, both the TR-606 and TB-303 weren’t initially met with the acclaim they enjoy today.
In an all too familiar tale with music equipment, it was only when it was rediscovered by luminaries such Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack etc, that the TR-606 found it’s deserved fame, love and acclaim. Thanks to their class-leading ‘Analog Circuit Behaviour’ technology, Roland’s finest engineers have been able to authentically recreate this classic with the ‘TR-06’ Rhythm Performer. That classic tight kick, snare drum, crunchy claps and analogue hats are all in here. You can even create huge spiralling patterns on it’s 32-step sequencer with up to 6 instruments, 8 variations per patters, and 2 fills for each pattern.
What’s more, the TR-06 allows you to save up to 128 patterns on the unit – a crucial inclusion for your live performances. It should also be noted that the TR-06 features a number of sequencer functions too, such as step loop, flam and probability, alongside a wide choice of integrated effects.
