Eight Tracks of Clip-Based Sequencing
Kick Start New IdeasThe MC-707’s eight-track sequencer is designed for seamless production of modern-day electronic style music and its continuously evolving subgenres. The TR-REC step sequencer is just like those found on classic Roland drum machines, perfect for quickly building rhythm sections. There are also 16 ultra-sensitive pads for creating or sequencing drum parts, melodic basslines, or polyphonic chord progressions.
Sequences are stored in clips that contain your sounds, note data, and live control movements or drawn automation. This allows you to create moving effects like a deep reverb on a single clap, slow filter sweeps, and much more. Clips can be triggered or chained into songs and creative tools such as note repeat, chord designer, and step LFO kick start new ideas.
Deep Synthesis
Iconic RhythmsThe MC-707 lets you delve deep into Roland’s most advanced synth engine ever, the ZEN-Core Synthesis System. Combining virtual analog, modelling, and modern PCM, the MC-707 has the sounds of iconic Roland rhythm machines and synthesizers that have become the foundation of electronic music.
Including the TR-808, TR-909, TB-303, JUNO-106, and SH-101. But the MC-707 also looks forward, with modern digital and hybrid sounds ideal for creating modern classics.
Record, Sample, Tweak & Mangle
Studio-Grade effectsAlong with the deep synthesis engine, the MC-707 has a powerful sampler with on-the-go recording that synchronizes the tempo to your composition. Record vocals or instrument parts, or import from your own existing library, then sequence or trigger phrases, one-shots, and loops. You can also edit and change samples by slicing, truncating, and reversing, with hands-on control comes the unique inspiration and precision that you can’t get otherwise.
With the MC-707’s huge range of effects, your music sounds rich and fully produced. All eight tracks feature individual effects processors with a huge range of variations. Warm chorus adds depth to pads and other synth sounds. Delays and reverbs create immersive spaces and add movement to subtle sequences. Overdrive, distortion, and amp simulation gives more aggression and intensity into synths, guitars, drums and more. You can process external audio and run your whole mix through master effects such as filters, bit-crushers, and a master bus compressor that ties it all together with punch and clarity.
Hands-On Experience
Deeper ControlPacked with hands-on controls, the MC-707 lets you dive deeper in and shape your music in a complex, physical way. Faders for each track mean you can instantly mix and arrange sections, and knobs can be freely set to any control you need.
You can also record your knob movements so they play back automatically. The 8x2 pad array is not only great for playing drums and triggering clips, but you can create repeating rhythms, compose melodies, constrain to any kind of scale, and trigger advanced chords.
Computer Enhanced
Advanced CapabilitiesWith the capabilities provided by the advanced USB audio interface, the MC-707 flows easily in and out of your production setup. You can record all eight parts to separate DAW tracks to finish your song. Or sample sounds from your DAW to capture backing tracks, stems, or the sound of a favorite software synth for your next live performance.
