Easier Open Loops with EK-Quantum Kinetic³ FLT D5 Series

This next-generation EK-Quantum Kinetic³ FLT D5 pump-reservoir combo unit builds on the success of the existing FLT flat-style design, improving compatibility and simplifying installation. By relocating the pump to the front side and adding extra G1/4" connection ports, loop planning becomes more flexible and far less restrictive. With a flat profile and thoughtful port layout, it supports a wide range of open-loop configurations while keeping routing clean and efficient.

120mm Fan Mounting Holes & 9x G1/4" Threads

The unit features standard 120mm fan mounting holes (105mm apart), providing broad compatibility with modern PC cases. As 120mm fan patterns are among the most common mounting options, installation typically requires no additional drilling. The reservoir includes a total of nine G1/4" ports, allowing users to select the most suitable inlet, outlet, fill, and drain configuration for their liquid cooling loop. This expanded port selection offers greater flexibility when planning tube runs or multi-component layouts.

Rapid Pump / Reservoir Combo

EK-Quantum Kinetic³ FLT D5 series units are equipped with genuine D5 pumps, manufactured in Europe. These pumps deliver flow rates of up to 1000 liters per hour, with a maximum head pressure of 5.2 meters. The motor is an electronically commuted spherical design, contributing to consistent performance and long service life. Combined with an approximate reservoir capacity of 125ml, the unit provides strong coolant circulation and sufficient volume for stable loop operation.

Pre-Drilled Holes

Kinetic³ flat-shaped combo units are built around standard 120mm fan mounting patterns (105mm apart), eliminating the need to drill mounting holes in most cases. Additional mounting points are positioned on both sides (105mm apart) and can be used with the included steel L-shaped mounting plates for alternative installation methods. All mounting holes use M4 threads and are supplied with the appropriate screws, ensuring straightforward and secure installation.

Excellent Acrylic, EDPM Sealed

The reservoir is manufactured from premium-quality acrylic, precision machined for clarity and durability. Sealing is achieved with a custom-formed, high-quality EPDM O-ring to ensure reliable operation. A black anodized aluminum cover houses the Addressable D-RGB LED strip. EK places strong emphasis on proper LED implementation to minimise visible hotspots. The cover is a standalone, removable piece, allowing easy access for LED servicing or replacement.

Motherboard-Controlled ARGB Strip

The unit features 11 LEDs and connects via a standard 3-pin 5V D-RGB header (Pinout: +5V, Data, Blocked, Ground). This configuration is widely compatible with mainstream motherboard addressable RGB firmware, allowing synchronised lighting control across supported systems.

2) The D5 pump is water lubricated and it must not be run dry; otherwise, permanent bearing damage can occur.
