USB DAC 32bit-768kHz / DSD512 XMOS Topping’s impressive E30 is a USB DAC that whilst small in size, packs serious performance! The E30 utilises an AK4493 DAC chip which is often a key hallmark found amongst High Fidelity Audio equipment. It also features an Xmos interface to provide a clear and transparent connection to any source with a USB output. The E30 also sports a volume control function which is able to be bypassed to enable you to use the E30 with a preamp or directly with active speakers or a power amp.

CS8416 low-jitter chipRather unlike most compact DACs which utilise a micro USB, Topping gave the E30 a USB-B port. This offers a huge advantage in terms of robustness and lifespan over its competitors. There’s also a DC jack which is perfect for connecting the E30 to any Hi-Fi grade power-supply (LPSU) without the need for an adapter. A Coaxial SPDIF and an Optical SPDIF input enable the DAC E30 to work with external digital sources. Multiple devices (CD player, TV, media platform or game console) can be connected and enjoy its excellent audio decoding capability.

Its SPDIF interface uses a CS8416 low-jitter chip, which supports digital audio streams up to 24-bit / 192kHz. The touch button on the front panel can be used to change the active source. The source selection can also be done using the included infra-red remote control. The output is a simple RCA stereo connector with variable volume.
