Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, solid motherboard with plenty of features. The B550 Tomahawk is a very solid motherboard that has a great VRM solution that would work perfectly for even the most powerful Ryzen CPUs and also looks very premium. I chose the Tomahawk because of the very high ratings for the previous generation B450 Tomahawk and I'm very happy with my choice. One thing to note is the somewhat small amount of USB ports of the rear I/O but there is plenty for my uses. The B550 Tomahawk works perfectly with my Ryzen 3600 and allows me to overclock very easily and after nearly two months of use I havent had a single issue with the motherboard and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really solid AMD Motherboard! There were several reasons I picked the B550 Thomahawk Firstly the number of Fan Headers built into the motherboard as standard. This meant I didn't need to worry about a fan controller and all my 6 Fans plus 2 CPU fans could all be plugged directly in and controlled / set up via the Bios. The next was the reviews on the VRAM temps and controls. I always push my CPU's to the max, so picking a motherboard with good temperatures for it's main components was essential - nice large heat sinks on all the major components! The board feels solid and sturdy. I installed a Nocutua NH-D15 to this motherboard. Picking up the whole thing via just the heat sink I didn't feel any flex or weakness in the board. The built in back plate is a nice touch too. My only very minor negative is that I would have preferred one or two more USB's at the rear for this price range, as I'm already maxed out and would have liked at least one more for future additions - for reference I'm using this as a VR PC for our living room entertainment machine. The PC build was easy and no issues with the board at all, and the Bios was easy to navigate and set up as well. Overall a great motherboard for your AMD build!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great solid motherboard A great solid motherboard. After two months of ownership no hardware problems. Boosting my AMD R7 3700x to it's correct boost clock. Under Linux had an issue with audio popping/cracking noise which there is a work around. Link aggregation works well. Under Windows 10 home Link aggregation not straight forward required a NDIS driver from Realtek.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great board, Solid power delivery Having waited for B550 to launch before upgrade the wait was worth it. The MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK is features rich, with Dual Ehternet, PCIe 4.0 and more. Allowing for further future upgrades this motherboard is a solid choice for anybody looking for solid option with longevity. Writing this review after a month of usage I have little complaints. One small issue has occurred with booting to the POST screen using DisplayPort, however it still boots to Windows just fine and HDMI works without issue. I suspect a BIOS update will fix this in the furture. Pros: Strong power delivery solution Good VRM cooling and MOSFET temperature sensor 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet plus 1 Gigabit Ethernet USB Type-C front panel header Dual cooled M.2 slots Cons: Only six USB ports on Rear IO Other boards have better audio codec No integrated Wi-Fi Conclusion: All round a solid board with future proof features. Value for money could be better but is in line with other manufactures and is expected with new chipsets. Overall highly recommended motherboard from MSI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build quality, feature rich motherboard I've recently rebuilt my computer and have decided to go with a B550 motherboard to allow future upgrades. The box came with loads of accessories which I thought was neat! The board itself is very high quality, the heatsinks on it are hefty, but also have a great design. The manual is also very throughout (also including stuff like applying thermal paste) so I would fully recommend this for both new and existing PC euthanists.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Board With the next-gen consoles not "wowing" me with exclusives, I decided it was the season to upgrade my PC instead. And swap Blue for Red with the increasing popularity of Ryzen. Having heard the B450 Tomahawk was a hit amongst builders, I decided to do some futureproofing this time round with my build and bagged the B550 Tomahawk instead. This board has alot of headers and ports available to expand the rig down the line. Especially fans, there's 7 fan headers on this beast! Speaking of which, not having a fan on the B550 chipset opposed to the X570 is reassuring for me. I wasn't keen on the idea of the tiny fan possibly failing (not saying that it does but the anxiety is there) as I'm not sure if its replaceable, thus its peace of mind. I'm not into overclocking so sadly I can't comment on what the board is truly capable of. It does however boost my Ryzen 7 3700x out of the box with ease and seen it around the 4.2GHz range comfortably. Great board ready for Zen 3 with alot of features, expansion, stellar RAM speed support and easy to work with. Another quality board from MSI. Having used their boards in my last build and that of other PC's within my family, we've never had an issue :) Scan as per usual is a fantastic outlet for PC components. Always hit these guys up for my components. Great service, thanks y'all :)
