Product Overview The MOTU 112D is the Swiss Army Knife of the audio world - you have to ask yourself, what hasn't it got?! A Thunderbolt equipped, state of the art Digital Audio Interface, Format Converter, Router and Mixer all in a sturdy, rackmountable 1U chassis. Giving you the choice to connect via Thunderbolt, AVB Ethernet or class compliant USB 2.0 (USB 3.0 and iOS compatible), you should have no trouble fitting this into your studio/live environment.

The 112D has a staggering choice of I/O - 24 channels of AES/EBU digital I/O via 25-pin D-sub, 24 channels of ADAT optical I/O plus 64 channels of MADI...yes thats right - 112 simultaneous digital I/O channels, all with near-zero latency!

Another interesting feature the 112D has is the DSP based, console-style mixer. MOTU have provided a digital mixer with 48 channels, 12 Stereo busses and 32-bit floating point FX processing. The effects include analogue modelled EQ, vintage compression and classic reverbs. As a side-note you can aslo use the 112D in standalone mixer mode and can remotely control via your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

The MOTU 112D lets you route any input to any output with ultra-low latency, and all this can be integrated into the AVB network - freely route audio channels to and from your PC via Thunderbolt or to and from any device on the AVB network - highlighting the 112Ds ability to shine as a format converter between AVB, MADI, AES/EBU, optical and computer audio via Thunderbolt or USB.

112 Simultaneous Digital Audio Channels
24 channels of AES/EBU, plus 24 channels of ADAT optical, plus 64 channels of MADI, for 112 total channels digital audio I/O. All input and output channels can be active simultaneously.

64 Channels of MADI
Serves as a 64-channel MADI interface, router and converter with near-zero latency and flexible routing and splitting to/from the AVB network, computer, AES/EBU and optical. Supports 56-channel mode, 32-channel mode and 1x/2x/4x clock modes.

24 Channels of AES/EBU and ADAT Optical Up To 96 kHz
Three 8-channel (D-sub) banks of AES/EBU at sample rates up to 96 kHz. Three 8-channel banks of ADAT optical at rates up to 48 kHz; six banks of ADAT at 2x sample rates (24 channels).

Flexible routing, splitting and format conversion
Send any input to any output, or multiple outputs. Includes routing to and from the computer, plus any devices on the AVB network. Convert any format to any other.

256 channels of network audio I/O for your host computer
Record and monitor up to 128 networked audio channels in and out, simultaneously, through the Thunderbolt connection to a host computer.

Universal connectivity
Connects to a computer with Thunderbolt, standard AVB Ethernet or audio class compliant high-speed USB 2.0 (compatible with USB 3.0 and iOS). Discovery app and web app software works alongside any host audio software.

Classic reverb. Compression modeled after the legendary LA-2A compressor. EQ modeled after British analog console EQs.

System expansion and audio networking
Add a 2nd MOTU AVB interface (1248, 8M, 16A, etc.) with a simple Cat-5e ethernet cable. Connect up to five MOTU interfaces using a MOTU AVB Switch (sold separately). Build a network with multiple interfaces and computers using standard AVB switches and network cabling, with ultra-low network latency, even over long cable runs (100 meters point to point). Stream hundreds of audio channels among devices and computers on the network.

The large backlit 324 x 24 LCD lets you view all signal activity at a glance with detailed metering for all analog and digital I/O. Access hardware settings from a simple and convenient menu.
