Legator Ninja 7-string, Multiscale, Purple Ink

The guitar that started it all for LegatorLegator's N7F-INK is a modern seven-string built around the demands of low tunings, high-gain playing and fast, accurate work across the fingerboard. Developed in collaboration with tattoo artist Ilya Cascad Kandaurov, this Ilya Purple version combines Legator’s Ninja platform with a distinctive Purple Ink graphic, a lightweight mahogany body and a specification aimed squarely at contemporary metal and progressive players. The 25.5"-26.5" multiscale layout gives the lower strings extra tension while keeping the treble side comfortable for bends, chords and lead playing. It’s a solid platform for seven-string work.

The bolt-on three-piece maple neck has a slim modern profile, a black satin finish and a reinforced carbon fibre truss rod. The thermoset composite fingerboard uses a 14"-16" compound radius, with 24 jumbo stainless steel frets and offset circle aluminium inlays. The result is a fast, consistent playing surface with a flatter feel towards the higher frets, suited to technical playing and wide bends. The lightweight 38mm-thick mahogany body keeps the guitar relatively compact, while the Purple Ink graphic gives this model a look of its own. Maple neck binding, black hardware and the matching satin neck finish keep the overall appearance clean and purposeful rather than overly ornate.

Legator’s active Aftershock humbuckers provide huge power, with a pair of humbuckers designed to deliver the power and definition required for high-gain styles. The control layout is deliberately simple, with a master volume, three-way blade switch and LED killswitch. That gives you quick access to the two pickups and their combined setting, while the killswitch adds a useful option for rhythmic effects and performance tricks. Hardware is equally focused on stability. The multiscale bridge uses stainless steel saddles, while the 24:1 locking tuners make string changes and tuning adjustments more straightforward. The Graph Tech nut and fixed bridge arrangement also make practical sense for a seven-string that may be used in lower tunings.
