Product Overview
Lake People headphone amps are designed and manufactured in Germany with a very simple ethos, that they must have excellent audio quality and simple, easy to use controls.
This is an incredibly detailed headphone amp, way above the quality you find in most high end pro interfaces. The Scan team have evaluated it and found it on par with the finest high end interface headphone outputs, but with more available power, which can be further increased by 6dB by chainging the internal jumper.
This is a fantastic option for studio use, utilising the often underused SP-DIF or AES XLR digital output of an interface and bypassing the interface DAC.
Please Note: This unit is not fitted with the optional USB card. Features 2/3 digital inputs:
- transformer balanced via XLR (AES 3-1992)
- coaxial via RCA socket (S/P-DIF)
- unbalanced digital output via RCA socket
- Sample-Rate 28 to 192 kHz
- Conversion is made with delta-sigma DAC with outstanding sonic characteristics
- 24 bit / -103 dB THD+N / 115 dB dynamic range
- Output level adjustable with stereo-pot
- +3 / +9 / +15 dB output level internally selectable
- Analog outputs unbalanced via back mounted gold plated RCA sockets
- integrated headphone amp with 1/4" socket on the front panel
Supply voltage is provided by a wallplug transformer.
