Korg - 'microKEY-25'
Natural Touch mini keyboard!
Korg’s ‘microKEY25’ is a micro keyboard controller, which slots seamlessly into your rucksack and takes up minimal desktop space! All keyboard players understand that one of the foremost important factors in any keyboard is the touch and feel of the keys and keybed. Korg’s ‘microKEY 25’ offers a hugely responsive and velocity-sensitive ‘Natural Touch’ mini keybed.
Feature wise, there’s a brilliantly expressive joystick – usually reserved only for high-end controllers/keyboards, alongside a handy arpeggiator button. The microKEY is also USB bus powered too, perfect for streamlined setups!
microKEY also supports iOS compatibility too if you should have Apple’s ‘Camera Connection Kit’! If all of that still wasn’t enough, Korg also included ‘M1Le’ software, so you can get creating music straight away!

• 25 Natural Touch mini keys let you play comfortably
• Velocity-sensing keybed makes it easy to add natural expression to your performances

Natural Touch Mini Keyboard!
optimal playability!Slim, lightweight, highly portable, USB bus powered, and compatible with all computer-based music software, Korg’s microKEY is the perfect way to complete your production setup. The microKEY features the velocity-sensitive Natural Touch mini-keyboard that was acclaimed on instruments such as the 'microKORG XL' and the 'microARRANGER'.
The proportions of the black and white keys have been adjusted for optimal playability, easy chording, and rapid phrase work; careful attention has been paid to the touch and playing feel. The "waterfall-type" keyboard makes it easy to play glissandos. This keyboard is sure to accurately convey all the dynamics of your performance to your software!
Take Full Control!
true expressive power!Octave Shift buttons are provided on each of the microKEY models. Through using the UP/DOWN buttons, this allows you to shift the octave the appropriate number of steps for each model so that, when used alongside the ‘Key Transpose’ function, the full range of notes in the MIDI specification can be covered.
As for the array of controllers needed for boosting the expressive power of your performance, the 37- and 61-key models feature a pitch bend wheel and modulation wheel. The 25-key model features an arpeggiator button, a sustain/tap button, and a joystick to which you can assign pitch bend, modulation, or any other control change, giving you plenty of control and rich expressive potential in spite of its compact size.
full ios compatiblityIt’s possible to connect your microKEY to your iPad and use it to great effect to take control over apps such as Korg’s ‘iMS-20’ via MIDI. For the microKEY-25, all you’ll need is Apple’s ‘iPad Camera Connection Kit’ and a USB cable. For the larger 37/61-key models, you just need to connect them via a USB hub that can supply power.
The app must support Core MIDI.

You've probably read the USB Tekspek, and perhaps your intrigue, or product interest, has lead you to look up Firewire as well. The two are similar in some respects, particularly some of the products that use the two technologies. However, Firewire has its differences, which means it has both benefits and drawback when compared to USB. This Tekspek will look at Firewire and also look at it with respect to USB.

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.
