The Inter-Tech T-9 is built with expansion in mind, offering a cavernous interior that supports a wide range of configurations. With compatibility for Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX, and SSI EEB motherboards up to 305 × 330 mm, it’s a chassis suited to both workstation and server roles. Clearance is generous across the board: CPU coolers up to 190 mm in height and graphics cards up to 340 mm in length fit comfortably, giving builders the freedom to use performance-class air coolers or high-end GPUs without restriction. Nine expansion slots round out the layout, making room for multi-GPU setups, RAID controllers, or specialist networking cards.
Storage on a Grand Scale
Storage is another area where the T-9 stands out. The enclosure supports up to ten external 5.25" bays, which can be equipped with optical drives, hot-swap cages, or removable storage frames. Behind the front panel, six internal 3.5" mounts provide space for large-capacity hard drives, complemented by two dedicated 2.5" mounts for SSDs. This blend of external and internal bays makes the case particularly well-suited to storage-heavy builds such as NAS servers or data workstations, where easy access and expansion potential are key. Combined with its solid cooling foundation — including a pre-installed 120 mm rear fan and support for additional units — the T-9 balances scalability and practicality for demanding IT environments.
