Protect against installation damage for 28 days.
ScanProtect is an enhanced warranty specifically designed and offered by Scan to reduce the risk of any mishap or damage to components during installation.
Our aim with ScanProtect is to encourage our customers to upgrade or build their own PC confidently. For a small additional fee our customers are provided with complete peace of mind.
Together What Belongs Together
Modern notebooks usually have several USB Type-C™ ports, but no card readers and USB Type-A ports. The IB-HUB1413-CR has the most important of them on board, so that the familiar use of notebooks and PCs continues to be so easy.
Some Things We Wont Miss
Thanks to Multi-LUN support, each logical drive is a standalone device. This allows both SD cards to be accessed and data copied simultaneously. This makes the usual to-and-fro of SD cards a thing of the past.
Little Control Centre
The IB-HUB1413-CR turns devices with a USB Type-C™ into a small control centre. Now for example existing devices such as printers, USB sticks, keyboards and SD/MicroSD can be used again easily and without frustration and sacrificing the Type-C™ connection.
A Symbiosis of Function and Design
The best devices are those that inspire us during use, both technically and visually. The IB-HUB1413-CR represents the perfect symbiosis thanks to its most important connections and its simple but elegant housing mix of aluminium and plastic.
• 1x USB Type-C™ with transfer rates up to 5 Gbit/s.
• 2x USB 3.0 Type-A (USB 3.0 downwards compatible to USB 2.0) with transfer rates up to 5 Gbit/s.
• SD and microSD dual card reader (UHS-I) up to 100 MB/s.
• Multi-LUN - allows the simultaneous use of two cards.
• Supports HC-I and XC-I standards up to 2 TB.

You've probably read the USB Tekspek, and perhaps your intrigue, or product interest, has lead you to look up Firewire as well. The two are similar in some respects, particularly some of the products that use the two technologies. However, Firewire has its differences, which means it has both benefits and drawback when compared to USB. This Tekspek will look at Firewire and also look at it with respect to USB.

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.

If you've used a computer for any duration of time you'll have come across the terms “kilobyte, megabyte, gigabyte” and so on. Then there's “kilobit, megabit and gigabit” to add a bit of confusion and to top it all off you've maybe heard or read terms like “gibibyte” on occasion.
