Newly bought or used for a long time - but what is this small bay in a PC case? The 3.5" (floppy) bay in the front of most cases was used frequently in the past, but is now of little significance. The IB-HUB1418-i3 provides three USB Type-C™ and one Type-A connectors to fill the unused space with current connectors.
In the infinite depths of the workplace
Take a deep breath. Put the headset down. Push the chair backwards. Take the USB hard drive in your hand. Duck under the desk. Searching for a free USB port in the darkness and greet the desktop with your head on the way back. The daily work with PCs with too few USB ports is now a little more comfortable again. The IB-HUB1418-i3 brings all currently required USB ports to the front of your PC.
3+1 is 5 Gbit/s
The USB 3.0 standard provides up to 5 Gbit/s read and write speed, allowing external SATA III hard drives to be full used for the first time. This allows data to be transferred even faster and minimizes waiting time. The USB Type-C™ connection also ensures frustration-free use of USB devices, as these can be connected in a reversible manner.
Not only useful but handsome
Devices that we use every day should not only work, but also appeal to us visually. The IB-HUB1418-i3 with its simple black paint on the stable metal housing would particularly like to please us here - and is very successful. Features • USB Type-C™ hub with 3x Type-A and 1x Type-C™ ports
• 3x USB Type-A with a transfer rate up to 5 Gbit/s
• 1x USB Type-C™ with a transfer rate up to 5 Gbit/s
• Housing made of stable metal
• Fits a standard 3.5" bay

You've probably read the USB Tekspek, and perhaps your intrigue, or product interest, has lead you to look up Firewire as well. The two are similar in some respects, particularly some of the products that use the two technologies. However, Firewire has its differences, which means it has both benefits and drawback when compared to USB. This Tekspek will look at Firewire and also look at it with respect to USB.

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.

If you've used a computer for any duration of time you'll have come across the terms “kilobyte, megabyte, gigabyte” and so on. Then there's “kilobit, megabit and gigabit” to add a bit of confusion and to top it all off you've maybe heard or read terms like “gibibyte” on occasion.
