Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only has one USB 3.0 Port This is a very nicely made unit, in sleek black finish. Sits well in any quality case. Supports all major memory cards and has handy USB charging port. Also an E-Sata port if you want it. On the downside, it uses the full 20pin USB 3.0 motherboard header, but only provides one USB 3.0 port. Standard 20pin headers provide two USB 3.0 ports, so you waste one of your USB ports on your motherboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product, easy install. Much more convenient than rear ports Got this for new build within old case. Much more convenient to attach USB devices from front ports. Card readers a bonus, tried SD and CF and both work well and fast due to USB 3.0 connectivity. This device plugged directly into USB 3.0 m/b headers which made installation nice and simple.

Yes, the 20th pin on the connector is a keying pin and prevents you plugging it in the wrong way round. This is standard for USB3.0 headers, only 19 pins are used

You get a total of 5 useable ports. There are 4 USB 2 ports and one USB 3 port. The yellow USB port is for charging your phone/ipod or other device. It provides 2.4A at 5v for faster charging, but cannot be used to connect the computer to the device
