Product Overview

Cooling Aluminium

This mobile rack has an efficient passive cooling system. The design of the aluminium case can dissipate enough heat to guarantee a silent and stable operation without installing a fan.


No Tray = Double the Speed

The fact that the HDD does not need to be screwed to a tray makes the HDD installation much faster. A 5.25" bay is needed on the PC. SATA HDDs are supported SATA I/II/III.


No Fan = Whisper Silent

This mobile rack is made almost completely from aluminium, only the front and back panels are made of hard plastic. Aluminium is very stable, very light and on top of everything else, it dissipate heat perfectly. That is why no fan is needed in order to protect the HDDs. In case still wished, a 12V fan can be installed (not delivered in the package).


No Worries = Locked

In order that the HDD will stay protected at all times, a lock was added. In this way, no unauthorized person will be able to reach your data. An LED indicator provides information regarding HDD access and activity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value For the price, this is a remarkably well designed and made product. The extruded aluminium drive rails make for an overall solid construction. The locking front drive door is made from good quality rigid plastic and serves to eject the drive when opened. Front panel blue LEDs indicate power, turning red on hard drive activity. This can be disabled via a rear switch, if required. The rear panel has connectors for SATA power and data, plus a 2 pin JST connector for an optional 40mm fan. A good value budget drive rack.

What size of hard drive will this support, over 2 TB? I have a stand alone Icy Box but only works up to 2 TB

well i'm running 10Tb hdd's with no issues. its sounds more like a bios or software issue not being able to run anything higher than 2tb as IcyBox and many other hot swaps are a through design with no restrictions.
