Featuring a superbly-balanced alder body and a 5-piece maple/walnut neck, the PIA3761C was built to perform at the highest levels.
Ibanez also included a trio of DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups for incredible impact and articulation. Of course, this being Steve Vai’s signature instrument, you’ll also find an Edge tremolo system for mind-bending divebombs and flutters, whilst also offering steady tuning stability.

Edge tremolo systemIbanez’s Edge tremolo has been carefully and expertly designed to offer the rapid tremolo response for which Vai’s music is so well known for.
The impressive stability of this knife-edge style tremolo system stud lock function is one of the most stable tremolos out there today and is the choice of some of the worlds top shredders.
DiMarzio pickupsThe Steve Vai Signature PIA3761C delivers incredible power and voicings as a result of the DiMarzio UtoPIA humbucker and single-coil pickups. The UtoPIA pickup was designed to focus more on the low-end response of the guitar while adding thickness and body to the top end and still delivering all the harmonic. Upper midrange frequencies were also dialed back to produce a less aggressive attack and provide more control.
Designed especially for Steve Vai’s signature Ibanez PIA guitar, the UtoPIA™ Bridge pickup features a custom, laser cut baroque style cover to suit the classy aesthetics of the rest of the guitar.
