JOE SATRIANI SIGNATUREThis stunning JS2470 is a Joe Satriani signature built around the features that have defined his approach to the electric guitar for decades: effortless playability, expressive vibrato and plenty of sustain. It combines the familiar JS body shape with a 3-piece Maple/Bubinga neck, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and Edge tremolo, while the electronics take things considerably further with a SUSTAINIAC Driver and DiMarzio Satchur8 bridge pickup.

At the heart of the JS2470 is its SUSTAINIAC Driver, wired to a Stealth PRO preamp specially customised for Joe. With its dedicated three-way selector, you can choose between Normal, Mix and Harmonic modes, ranging from sustained fundamental notes through to harmonic-rich feedback effects. The system is switched on via the push/pull tone control, giving you access to extended sustain without needing to change your basic playing setup. The bridge position is fitted with a DiMarzio Satchur8 passive Alnico humbucker, designed around Satriani's articulate, high-output approach. With the Sustainiac switched off, the three-way pickup selector gives you neck, both or bridge pickup operation; with the Sustainiac engaged, the system drives the neck pickup while retaining the bridge pickup in the signal path.

The JS2470's 3-piece Maple/Bubinga neck adds stability and sustain, with a 25.5" scale, 250mm radius and 24 medium frets finished with Ibanez's Prestige Fret Edge Treatment. The rosewood fingerboard has abalone dot inlays, while Luminlay side dots help keep the fretboard visible on darker stages. Ibanez's Edge tremolo provides the familiar locking vibrato platform, with precise intonation adjustment and a comfortable playing feel. Gotoh machine heads and a locking nut round out the hardware, while the push/pull volume control adds a high-pass filter to retain high frequencies when rolling the guitar back. Finished in Cherry Sunburst and supplied with a hardshell case, the JS2470 is a properly feature-packed take on the JS formula — built for players who want the expressive sustain, vibrato control and fast response associated with Satriani's signature instruments.
