Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wicked Board! For the price you can't go wrong, people complain about not being able to overclock right with the board and how the bios is "outdated" on arrival and frankly I don't see it, It's a great little board and worked flawlessly straight out of the box!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic board. I am very happy with this board with one small exception. The microphone volume is very low, even when boosted. Aside from that, this board is the best I have ever bought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent board Excellent value board with an 8+2 power phase design. I would avoid running an 8core cpu on the cheaper 4+1 design boards as from my own experience the vrms cannot handle these cpus. This board is running my fx 8320 at 4.6ghz. I'm sure the board could do higher but I'm limited by temps on my evo 212. The board has plenty of features and the bios has lots of useful options and is easy to use. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product with easy O/Clock facility I am delighted with this board as I purchased an AMD 6300 FX and Corsair Extreme Edition memory (4gb) to go with this set up. I was able to OC to 4.2ghz with no effort or problems with stock fan and heatsink. I am using a 650watt PSU and 2 x 1tb sata HDD. My graphics is a little on the budget side at present as i have an AMD XFX 7750 1gb. This works well and I dont see any frame drops.

Questions & Answers

Will this require a BIOS update to work with the AMD FX6350?

Asked by: Aesis
It should not, although I cannot be sure. If I remember correctly it said I would need an update to use my 6300 and I did not. I fact at the time there were no updates available and even now, a year later from original release there is only a BETA (test version) bios update. So I doubt you will have any problems with it. I love this board.

Is this the revision 1.0 or revison 2.0?

There are two revisions of this motherboard and I am unsure whether this is the first or second model.
Asked by: Louie
Mine was revision 1 when I bought mid/late 2014. However you might want to contact Scan to see if they can find out for you which revision they are currently stocking.

Is this board actually PCIe 3.0?

The specs on Gigabyte site says its PCIe 2.0
Asked by: Beast1812
I think you are getting USB and PCIe mixed up. This is a USB 3.0 board and it has PCIe 2.0 I have this board and it is very good indeed. So new that there is only 1 BETA bios available on the official site.

Will this motherboard need a BIOS update to work with a AMD FX 8350 Black Edition?

Asked by: Gian
I cannot say for sure, but the site said I would need an update to use my 6300 if I recall and I did not at all... In fact there is only 1 BIOS update and it is not even a final release (it is BETA version) so I doubt you will have any problems. But as I say, I cannot be 100% sure.
