You cannot control the fan speed.When you connect the fan to the GPU it runs at 100%. You have to connect it to the motherboard to make the fan spin slower.

Works for Gigabyte R9 390, but....I ordered this aftermarket graphics card cooler for my R9 390 gigabyte windforce as high temperatures and failing fans meant the original couldn't keep it below 94c (thermal throttle point). I did some research and was reliably informed this will fit my card and it does. There is just one problematic vram chip near the PCIE connector which due to the heatsink mounting bracket, you cannot fully cover with a heatsink but it works with no issues or artifacting after 6 hours soak test in Unigine Heaven. Also, the aftermarket cooler temps never got over 68c which is fantastic compared to the original.
The 3M tape provided to stick on the little heatsinks is woefully inadequate. They just about do for the vram chips as there is more surface area, but on the mosfets and chokes forget it. They barely stay on under their own weight and i would urge gelid to supply a tube of thermal adhesive instead which is what i have used.
Its a shame because an otherwise decent product is let down by a poor choice of materials...

Tamed a R9 290 4GBThe legendarily toasty R9 290 4GB was tamed with this GPU cooler.
There is a VRM adaptor kit for the R9 290 4GB sold by some retailers. Equally, if you have Dremel kit or drill you can grind out the mounting holes on VRM heatsink to fit onto a R9 290 4GB main VRM.
With high airflow PC case, this GPU cooler let me get the card down into the 70s, from 88C-94C with the reference blower.

Huge temp drop with less noiseI put this on a GTX 670 FTW+ edition, the cooler came with enough heatsinks to cover all the memory modules on both sides of the card (16 total). Some of the VRM was slightly out of place for using the heatsinks as they came so I just improvised and stuck some of the larger sinks over 4 VRM chips.
Installation was extremely easy, instructions are simple enough to follow.
Temperatures dropped from the mid 70s with the reference cooler on max fan all the way down to the 50s with mid fan speed on this cooler. Now inside my cooler master silencio 650 I run this cooler and am able to overclock the 670 to just under 1300mhz with max power limit, memory to 7500mhz and keep the temps somwhere in the low 60s with perhaps a 24c ambient. All with less noise than the old blower cooler.
I am impressed with this product, the only con was that the adhesive pads that you use to stick the vrm/memory heatsinks to the relevant chips were not great. I had issues with sinks falling off memory modules due to the lack of adhesion, however now after a good few heat cycles they seem pretty well stuck on there.
Overall does the job nicely, just watch out for the thermal adhesive (possibly the ones included with mine had just been sat around a while/dried a bit and others are fine), after you install the card keep checking it for the next few hours to see if any sinks fell off, and perhaps be prepared to use thermal adhesive of your own in a worst case.

OkUse as a broken replacement, not as an OE replacement.
Performance no better than stock - but if your stock has broken, or like me - an idiot - you've thrown away the stock after having fitted waterblocks - then this is a great replacement.

decent coolerPretty good quality, tonnes of small heatsinks left over which I can use on other pc parts or even electronics.
Instructions are a bit generic and don't cover most GPU's but anyone with half a brain can figure it out pretty quickly.

GTX Titan users steer clear!Although it says it's compatible with the GTX Titan, the instructions don't even mention the Titan at all and so the only way to (eventually) fit it was to go off-script, as it were, only to find once it was up and running, that it is barely an improvement over the stock cooler at all, apart from the reduced noise.
Absolutely pointless; for the long, tedious fitting process, you'd expect far better results!
I repeat: GTX Titan users, look elsewhere!

CoolI purchased this item when a fan blade snapped on my MSI 560ti twin frozr 2. This is a great product and has reduced the temperature and noise from my graphics card dramatically.
