13 elements in 11 groups and Nano GI CoatingThe optical design of the lens includes two aspherical elements and two ED (extra low-dispersion) elements, which work to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations to deliver sharp, clear image quality even at the widest aperture of F1.4. The quality of your images are also enhanced by Fujifilm's proprietary HT-EBC coating that's applied to all the lens surfaces, with Nano GI coating on the rear surface of the G1 lens. This changes the refractive index between glass and air, to reduce ghosting and flare from diagonal incident light.
