Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by so good by far the best case i have owned and i cannot think of any other cases id rather have, for me this is perfect. i wouldnt change anything on this case 04 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by superbly built case for a good price This is a brilliant case in my opinion and well worth the asking price. The removable hdd enclosure, sound proofing, removable dust filters and minimalist design were, for me at least the best selling points here and if you are looking for a similar feature set at this price point then I would recommend this case. The review of this case by linus tech tips pretty much sold this case to me so check it out! 04 December 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing Case For The Price I've always wanted this case, but after spending so much on other PC components, I had to settle for a Source 210. Well, just the other week, I finally bought this case and WOW. I love it. So much room inside, I can now either mount a Rad on the top or where the HDD cages are. Although this case is quite roomy, my 7970 w/ an Accelero Xtreme cooler wouldn't fit without having to remove the top HDD cage. The cable management on this thing is awesome, there's enough room at the back of the motherboard to hide all your cables. One thing that did irk me was that you could ONLY either hook up the front LED to the HDD usage or power, not both. But that wasn't enough to make me want to return this case. The sound dampening really works well, with the side panel on, I CAN hear my 8 fans, but they're nothing more than a loud whisper. Removing the side panel reveals just how loud my fans are lol. If you really wanted a silent case, just limit the amount of fans you install and the sound dampening will take care of the rest. This is easily one of the best, sleekest looking cases ever made and it doesn't cost that much when you compare it to other cases. The whole chassis is really well made, the side panels are of really high quality and do weigh quite a bit when comparing to other cases. Overall, this is one of the best cases I've ever bought, and have ever seen :) 01 October 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by PC building made easy! I recently built my first PC and decided to go with this case after hearing good things about it. I couldn't recommend this case enough! It's all you could every ask for from a case at this price! It's easy to build in as there is lots of room, and the fact that most of the screws are thumbscrews made it that much easier! Very quiet and still keeps cool, and don't forget it looks awesome with the giant window on the side! :D 18 September 2013
