This active 2-way monitor uses a 1” aluminium tweeter and a 6.5” woofer featuring a ‘Slatefiber’ cone, designed and handmade in Focal’s Saint-Etienne headquarters.
Drawing its power from the 80-watt Class D bi-amplification and carefully engineered to serve up a totally flat tonal balance and staggering dynamic range, the Alpha 65 Evo was designed to improve upon all aspects from previous generations.

redesigned 1" tweeterThe beating heart of the Alpha 65 Evo is the new ‘Slatefiber’ LF driver. The use of Slatefiber noticeably improves the low-frequency extension, dynamic range and overall impact the Alpha 65 Evo has in comparison to its predecessor.
Furthermore, the 1” aluminium inverted dome tweeter has undergone an overhaul to help in conveying even the smallest of nuances in playback with incredible accuracy – without any sign of harshness or listening fatigue which can sometimes be associated with high-definition tweeters.

The Alpha 65 Evo sports rear-panel HF/LF shelving to ensure the system is suitable for any application and environment. Alongside the balanced XLR, TRS and unbalanced RCA inputs, it also features the energy-saving function of Focal’s auto standby mode, which cuts power after 30 minutes of no activity.
