FiiO - QX11 Compact Headphone Amplifier
Pocket-Sized DAC/Amp PowerhouseFiiO's QX11 packs a serious amount of DAC and headphone amplification into a remarkably compact package. Built around dual ESS ES9069Q DAC chips, it supports PCM playback up to 768kHz/32-bit and native DSD256, giving you a high-resolution USB DAC that's equally at home connected to a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop system. There’s plenty of power on tap, too. The QX11 offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, with the latter capable of up to 780mW + 780mW into 32Ω in Desktop Mode when using its independent power input. That gives the QX11 considerably more headroom than your average portable dongle, making it suitable for a much wider range of headphones and IEMs.
The dual USB-C arrangement is particularly useful. One port handles data while the second provides dedicated power, allowing the QX11 to operate in Desktop Mode and deliver its maximum output. It can also provide up to 45W PD charging, so you can power compatible connected devices while listening. FiiO hasn't forgotten about gaming, either. Dedicated Game Mode provides four sound profiles covering FPS, Action, MOBA and music games, while built-in microphone support and compatibility with 3.5mm inline microphones make the QX11 useful for voice chat and calls as well as straightforward music listening.
Everything is controlled from a 1.14-inch IPS colour display, physical shortcut button and machined volume wheel, giving you proper hands-on control without relying on an app. At around 29g, the QX11 remains small enough to take anywhere, but its output capabilities put it firmly into serious portable DAC/amp territory.
