EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti BLACK EDITION 11GB GDDR6 Ray-Tracing Graphics Card, 4352 Core, 1350MHz GPU, 1545MHz Boost is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faulty card, common fault. Completely disappointed tonight with this GPU, bought it for Christmas for me and my sons first built together, the card has lasted 7 months, played almost all games at 4k ultra hence the 4 stars at this price you would expect 4k ultra 60fps no problem but that not the case. Still really a great card but unfortunately tonight it has started to crash and artifact long on windows boot and after hours of testing its faulty, 7 months old, wish I had stuck with my sli 1080s but I have have faith in a quick turn around. Hopefully the next one last a lot longer and I'd advise to go for one with a 300A chipset They seem a lot better performance. EVGA who signed these off?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cost Effective 2080Ti Card but slightly noisey I upgraded from a Asus 980 Matrix (factory overclocked and now four years old) to the EVGA 2080Ti Black edition. So far the card is behaving well though it is quite noisy when running flat out given its stock cooler. When idle it runs quiet at 37C but gets up to 78-80C under full load which is when the two fans spin up. That's quite hot compared to my old 980 (which topped out at about 55C under load) so only time will tell if it effects the durability of the card. The 3 year EVGA warranty is reassuring for this. Note this is a two slot design (and not three slot as per some of the more expensive iterations with fancier coolers). The primary differences between this edition and others are (a) its basic two fan cooling design and (b) the lack of supported overclocking - it uses the base version of the GPU chip as opposed to the overclock graded "A" version (referred to as "binned" as they put the ones that pass a more stringent QA process into a special bin.) I primarily purchased the card to use with VR - I've managed to significantly increase the quality settings in Elite Dangerous (to a tweaked version of UltraVR) and the game looks darned fine and is very smooth. I've also got an UWD monitor (3880x1440) and all the 2D games I've got can be maxed out on settings too. The 2080Ti has a USBC port (VirtualLink) which when coupled with an Accell USB-C VR Adapter from Amazon, gives me a very tidy VR solution. The EVGA I received contains Samsung memory (phew) as opposed to some early cards which shipped with Micron and were the source of significant initial dead cards back in 4Q2018. In terms of RTX it's early days. I got two free games included with the card (Battlefield 5 and Anthem) but haven't checked either out yet. There are precious few RTX demos (none on the nVidia demo site which is very puzzling), but the Port Royal benchmark in 3DMark looks pretty - is RTX a game changer? Not yet. I had the choice of buying a 1080Ti as an upgrade but believe the 2080Ti will eventually prove worth the investment. And the EVGA 2080Ti Black Edition was the best priced variant. If the noise becomes too much, I can always look at the EVGA hybrid cooler and/or a complete water cooling solution, but I'll wait till the card is at least a few months old before voiding my warranty. So if you are in the market for a two slot 2080Ti this is a good model to consider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EVGA does it again This card is the cheapest out of the EVGA 2080ti range, I went for this card for 2 reasons, A, it was in stock and under £1000. B It was a EVGA card U wanted the extra warranty. My last 2 cards have been EVGA I had GTX690 and then GTX980Ti. The first problem I found was I wanted to water cool it and could not find a EK block to fit it and the reason for this is only the EVGA Copper Block fits these cards, but as they are made for EVGA by EK its the same thing. I have to say the looks of the water block is amazing. Back to the card, I did not want to spend another £200 plus on a card that is way over priced in the first place. Plus at the time it was unknown when the other EVGA cards would be out as only on pre order and sorry your not taking my money without giving me a date as to when the card is going to be shipped. It does look awesome even with the fan cool on it and i don't know if I have been luckily but mine has overclocked very well I sit at most games overclocked at around 2175 as an average, not peak average!!!which is the most important thing, I have got 370Mhz on the clock, 100MHz on the memory. The power limit goes up to 112% but has gone over that, for temperatures as mine is under water has not gone above 50C even after 5-6 hours gaming. For me the price was ok as I upgrade every 3-4 years and was looking to get a 1080ti at the time but as I knew new cards was coming held on, At the time 1080ti had been selling for around £800 so for me this card is really only £200 more and so worth it Yes they are alot but I needed the horse power to run a 34" Dell wide screen 1440P and 27" 1440P monitors, with most games playing at the 34" refresh rate of 120fps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious hardware This is an incredible piece of hardware. I replaced an aging 7970 with this so it was going to be a big leap but I didn't think it would be this good. I only play at 1080p at the moment but this can run any title on ultra settings with very very high frame rates, I'm talking 200+ on BF4 alone. Games like battlefront 2 look absolutely gorgeous on ultra settings and with the frame rates so high its a real experience to play. BF5 on ultra settings with ray tracing is incredible. It is expensive but if you are a PC gamer with a decent CPU and motherboard its worth the investment because its got endless potential at the moment with the future looking DLSS and ray tracing features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RTX is all hype, but this card is still a beast. Currently running Metro Exodus, with RTX off on Extreme settings at 2160p and it performs perfectly alongside my 7700k. RTX/DLSS is cool tech, but it isn't worth the framerate hit if you're in UHD resolutions. If you're playing at 1080p, you just don't need this card. I got this card to have the fastest card to hopefully take me through the next generation of console games on PC and it destroys anything I throw at it in 4k. In Blender 2.79 (Need to get latest build to use Cycles with RTX cards) it makes Cycles rendering and EEVEE (in 2.8) really fast to work with. I have also used this card with 3DF Zephyr for photogrammetry and 3d reconstruction and it seems to be about 2 or 3 times faster than the 1060 Max-Q I was using before. Build quality is really nice. It feels solid and the EVGA X1 software is the least janky software I've seen bundled with a GPU. The interface is nice, easy to control fan curves and the RGB to match your case if that's your thing. I have no idea how it compares to other editions of the card (e.g. factory OC) but that doesn't concern me at this point as it is fast enough for my purposes. It is obsecenely expensive, but you are paying for the state of the art. If you're too passionate about CG and gaming, like I am then perhaps you can forgive yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4k gaming made effortless Gaming now sorted for the next few years. 4k gaming now no problem. Eats up most games for breakfast. About 60 frames a second with all visual bells and whistles even for brand new AAA games. Better value price than other 2080 tis but still £200 too expensive. It should last 2-3 years before it needs an upgrade so not so bad considering. 4k significantly more pleasing than 2k. Playing on an Acer 4k g-sync monitor.
Date published: 2019-01-22
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very fast card. Great card for the price, boost clock sticks to around 1850-1900mhz. Can run most games at 4K 60 @ max settings, dose get a bit loud and hot (82c) compared to my brothers 3 slot 3 fan MSI 2080TI (73c) My card failed after about 1 week of use on Christmas day LOL. I just started the RMA process today, there are issues with the 2080TI's so I was not too surprised/disappointed when it failed. I will update the review once I get my new card back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast Card but pricey. Got this swiftly with Scans fast delivery and Coming from a 1080ti i must say im so far impressed.Battlefield V is as smooth as butter with ultra settings 4k 60 (not tried Ray Tracing yet). Its not a big leap from last gen to warrant the current price/performance but its enough for me personally.Plus the new tech in this card once fully utilised will be a game changer in the near future.

Questions & Answers

Does this card have a FE reference PCB, just need to know if it is compatible with EK Vector water blocks?

Asked by: Hutchy
no its not I had to get the EVGA Hydro copper block, which is made by EK. The one you need is the following: EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock for EVGA/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC/XC2/FE, 400-HC-1389-B1, RGB ( it does fit the black) I think this looks better than the EK Vector block is RGB. I had to get mine from the US as it was sold out in the EU and worked out to be £200 inc shipping and import charges See pictures you can change the colour on the front of the card and where the wording is on the side of the block, it will all be the same colour when changed, You need EVGA precisionX1 to change the colours.
