Peace of Mind Gaming with iCX Tech

Experience 9 GPU Thermal Sensors & Multiple MCUs

After the ACX 3.0 cooler vas verified to operate within spec on Power and Memory section from independent third party testing, EVGA determined that on an enthusiast graphics card, one thermal sensor just wasn't enough. On an enthusiast graphics card, equal importance should be given to the Power and Memory, not just focused on the GPU. This type of thinking required a drastic change in the way thermal management is performed on a graphics card.

1080Ti GPU Smart Fans

Efficient Graphics Card Cooling with Asynchronus Fans

Make use of a new way of cooling your card through EVGA's technologies, reducing fan noise and improving cooling efficiency. The GPU fan is determined by the temperature of the GPU (left fan) while the Power/Memory fan is determined by the power/memory temperature (right fan). This means they can work separately of each other minimizing power needed and maximizing their efficiency.

Plus, the cooling system performance can be read with a single galnce at the iCX card. Users can customize the RGB colour and visual alarm sttings to their preference.

Interactive Cooling

Thermal Display System

When using your EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC2 you can set 3 seperate LEDs on the top of the card to alert you as to what the temperature the card is currently at allowing you to use the card and know the temperature at a glance.

Protective Gaming Graphics Card

Have peace of mind when gaming with the icx SC2

Baseplate & BackplateAll vital components inside the GPU make direct contact with these stylish and protective components, helping with such things as heat dissipation and structure rigidity. The Baseplate also has interlaced Pin Fins to help further its efforts.

Fin DesignFin holes direct the airflow through different types of fins. Half open fins are there to maximize airflow while the L-shaped fins increase surface contact, maximizing the heat dissipation through utilising an increased surface area on the Baseplate.

Ball BearingsEach fan features double ball-bearings with a 4x longer lifespan and a lower power consumption motor, meaning more power for your GPU - play longer and overclock better!

Fuse TechThis fuse can only be found on EVGA GPUs. The exclusive fuse adds yet another layer of protection to your graphics card and therefore you PC system as a whole.

Precision XOC Enthusiast GPU Tech

Full GPU Control For the Enthusiast in you

Each of the iCX's thermal sensors can be monitored in real time and displayed through PXOC OSD. This genius technology will grant you the power to take control over the VGA/Power fans simultaneously or asynchronously - make your choice and make your changes!

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING w/ iCX 11GB GDDR5X VR Ready Graphics Card, 3584 Core, 1556MHz GPU, 1670MHz Boost is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A ship of many flags The 1080Ti, the last hurrah of Pascal. TL:DR at the bottom. Processor: There's not much to note about the GP102 chip that can't already be found online in much more depth. Untill Volta is dropped, this is the best GPU you can buy for gaming. Benchmarks do the talking. Cooling: Incredible cooling performance; especially as a dual slot card compared to bulkier 2.5 or 3 slot competitors. With a little fan curve tinkering this card can't fall over 75'C from what I've experienced. Other chips such as mosfet and V regs are cooled way beyond what's recommended. I've heard people complaining of a harsh fan curve from stock, but mine was default to "Silent" and reached pretty high temps. This does support custom fan curves and until ~60% speed is silent. ICX shows good temps on other vitals, EVGA went ape on the mosfet cooling due to a bad batch of chips pushing many people into wanting better cooling. Un-needed, but very welcomed. Extras: The ICX readings seem to be pretty accurate and offers more than the usual single value temperature reading, this may be a gimmick but it does have its uses. RGB LED's are all the rage right now so if that's your thing, go for it. Unfortunately they're not very colour accurate, white seems to be quite blue, and many colours don't show up nicely or have a blue tint. Strong colours like red, green, blue, dark purple, etc etc are great. Watch out for white, pinks and other lighter colours. Do note that the "SC2" logo is light green and cannot be changed. The little side-mount Usage, Power and Temp LED's are pretty much limited to green or dark red, not sure what that's about. Looks: Personal preference, but this looks a gem. Such a compact, dense, beautiful design with a lovely backplate (and frontplate!). I can't see this looking bad in any setup. All fascias are metal. Build: See: M1 Abrams Tank Value: I got this on a deal, making it cost less than the Black Edition. Not sure if I can personally justify the extra cost for RGB and ICX, but YMMV. Notes: Overclocking is welcomed, this cooler can easily handle the extra heat. However, silicone lottery is the devils game, and Pascal is a ball ache to OC properly even with hard mods. The PCB is meant to be the same as FE. So FE waterblocks should fit this (?). You're paying for the cooler here so why buy this if you're going to watercool. Give this a miss if you're looking to LN2, there's now PCB designs aimed exactly for that. TL;DR: +++ Fantastic cooling performance +++ Dual slot +++ Beautiful! ++ Sturdy, no flex ++ OP mosfet cooling, even the fan controller is cooled + Decent software (EVGA Precision) + Nice features -- RGB accuracy kinda sucks - It's expensive for an FE PCB mounted cooler Conclusion: This card is sick. Great cooling performance and nice features. Dual slot and quiet, although other competitors can be quieter (but larger).
