The Hummingbird Dark is his sonic and visual signature in guitar form. Drenched in a moody Cobra Burst gloss finish with black binding and a custom Hummingbird Dark pickguard, this acoustic-electric is built to stand out on stage and cut deep in the studio. It’s rich, resonant, and ready for the road— just like the stories Eric tells through every chord.
The Eric Church Hummingbird Dark’s square-shouldered dreadnought body is crafted from layered mahogany for the back and sides, paired with a solid European spruce top for tone that will get better and better as it ages. The Hummingbird Dark’s 4” Performer body depth is also slightly slimmer from front to back, making it more comfortable to hold and play and giving it excellent tonal balance. The single-ply binding is black throughout the guitar, including the top, back, and fretboard, adding to the guitar’s dark, slightly menacing aesthetic.
