Casino
(Vintage Sunburst)
'Epiphone’s Best-Selling Archtop and a Rock ‘N’ Roll Legend'Since 1961, the legendary Casino has been Epiphone’s best-selling archtop and a rock ‘n’ roll standard. First introduced in 1961, the Casino was just one of several new thinline archtops designed and produced at the company’s adopted new factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan that it shared with one-time competitor and new partner, Gibson.
The Casino was adopted by Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones who used a Casino to record the demo for “Satisfaction” at Chess Records in Chicago. Howlin' Wolf took a Casino on his first tour of the UK, appearing on Thank Your Lucky Stars. Shortly afterward, John Lennon and George Harrison bought Casinos for the Beatles' 1966 world tour. Featuring Dogear P-90T Classic™ pickups and a 5-ply maple body with basswood top bracing. Available in Natural, Vintage Sunburst, and new Turquoise color finishes.

Distinctive & Instantly Recognisable
versatile P-90 pickupsThe iconic P-90 was Gibson’s first successful foray into the single-coil pickup market, this legendary pickup can be heard on innumerable timeless tracks.
With it’s cutting treble and high-output nature, the P-90 has cemented itself in music history. It’s a hugely versatile pickup and is very much unique in its sound, a little brighter, whilst being a little less refined than a humbucker.
With a hot valve amplifier, the P-90 truly comes into its own. It’s a sound which is very distinctive and instantly recognisable. Great examples can be found on classic records such as Santana’s iconic Live at Woodstock album and countless Beatles records.
Classic Hollowbody Tone
set mahogany neckFeaturing a maple top, back and sides, Epiphone’s Casino is ready to lend itself to almost any playing style, from delta blues and jazz right through to rock n roll. Paired with a set mahogany neck and Laurel fretboard, the Casino delivers a bright and snappy sound with a touch of warmth. A wonderfully balanced instrument for players of all styles!
SlimTaper "D"-profileEpiphone included their 1960s inspired SlimTaper ‘D’ neck profiling on the Casino. A little thinner than the initial necks from the 50s, this neck offers fluid and smooth playability, perfect for lead work, but also superb for big open chords.
