integrated 'QuickSmartDSP' technologyElectrovoice’s EKX-18SP is a powered subwoofer perfectly suited for live music settings and DJ applications. Boasting a powerful 1300W Class D amplifier, the EKX-18SP is capable of delivering up to 133dB Max SPL, utilising the EV transducer for this express purpose.
Through the use of a single knob user interface and easy-to-read LCD menu screen, it’s easily possible to tweak the integrated QuickSmartDSP processing, whilst the Cardioid Control Technology enables the user to steer signal towards the audience whilst at the same time delivering up to 35dB of sound reduction on stage.
The EKX-18SP also features an intelligent thermal management system which automatically adjusts the variable-speed fan via the means on the built-in sensors, and thanks to the twin XLR outputs, it’s easy to integrate the EKX-18SP with further loudspeakers and subs.

Electro-Voice EKX Loudspeaker - An Overview
The EKX series is the newest member of the Electro Voice portable loudspeaker family, and combines legendary EV sound quality and reliability with the latest technology — all in a compact package suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement scenarios, including musicians/DJs and live/club/installed sound applications.
The EKX series features eight models (four powered and four passive), including 12" and 15" two-way models and 15" and 18" subwoofers. EKX is positioned above the ZLX and ELX series and below the ETX series.
