Product Overview

The EE Capture Cam can be used with or without a SIM Card. NOTE: This cam is compatible with other providers other than EE but an EE SIM is required to unlock

Use as a Body Cam as well as an Action Cam.

Simple to set up and use, the 4GEE Capture Cam features a high-quality 8MP camera capable of capturing still images and live video at a variety of resolutions and frame rates. It also includes 4GB of internal memory, which expands to up to 64GB with an external memory card, so users can capture hours of video and hundreds of images.

The 4GEE Capture Cam is a lightweight, wearable camera, designed to be small and portable for everyday use. The camera weighs just 90g and can be easily clipped to a bag or jacket or fitted to a variety of mounts and accessories.

4GEE Action cam App (iOS 10+ and Android 4.3+), installed on smart phones, communicate with for 4GEE Action Cam or 4GEE Capture Cam through WIFI connection and includes the following functions:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work as described Apparently this camera can no longer stream to facebook as it is not supported The app complains that the firmware needs updating but when I choose the option to update it the app states that the camera already has the latest firmware! Also, it is NOT unlocked. You have to go through EE to unlock it (I'm currently going through this process, cannot know if it will complete successfully, but even if it completes successfully the other functions will not work) Do NOT buy if you want to stream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little 1080p HD live view Camera First the important part. IT WILL NOT LIVE STREAM USING FACEBOOK. The feature no longer works as EE stopped supporting it. Remember, this is an OLD product now. Now for the good bits. This is an EXCELLENT 1080p 'live view' camera. You do not need the sim for it to work. It has it's own wifi built into it. The downside to this is if the device you install the 4GEE app on is your main daily use device, it will stop you from connecting to your wifi router because you have to select the 4GEE Capture Cam from the wifi network list for the app to work. I use mine on a spare mobile phone therefore it does not impact me that much. The most important aspect of this capture cam for me is the 'live view' feature. This means using the 4GEE capture cam app on the mobile phone, i can see a 'live' image from the cam on the phone and set it up how i like all the time whilst looking at the live images on the phone. There is none of this setting up and hope for the best on cam's that you have to set to record then see the results later. I use my cam on radio controlled cars and trains and i can watch the 'live view' on my phone instead of having to wait to download the recorded video to computer to watch it. Once your happy with how you've positioned the cam, it's a simple case of pressing record 'rec' on the app and you can see via the app the 'live' recording, as it happens. I am using a 64GB micro SD card and in the app it says i can get 6hr 34mins or recording time. This is with nothing recorded at present. The 'live view' image on the phone is naturally reduced so please do not think that image quality your seeing via the phone is what you will see on the recorded video because it isn't. The quality is soooo much better. The unit is extremely sturdy, is all metal with a plastic cover on the bottom protecting the opening to where the sim and micro sd card go. I've got 'go-pro' 1080p type cam's but they are all bluetooth and the response from cam to mobile device is not as quick as the 4GEE wifi one. The Bluetooth cam's have a very noticeable 1-2 delay between moving the cam, to seeing the image move on the mobile device. With the 4GEE, because it's wifi, the delay is almost not existent. Also, all these 'Bluetooth' 1080p cam's are much much more expensive. So, for anyone looking for a great quality, simple 1080p HD cam, both in physical quality and video quality, then this device is for you purely for the fact of the very cheap price of this product £11. It cannot be beat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK Quality but the Facebook Streaming no longer works on IOS The Capturecam was released back in 2016, so this is now an older product and with limited support. First from a video point of view its actually pretty good quality, it’s no Go-Pro but as Scan are selling them at £15 plus postage I didn’t expect it to be. IN normal light conditions the image is quite good and a step up from many of the cheap and cheerful no name specials in the same price range. The camera has a few different modes, such as time-lapse and you can view what you are recording on the companion app which makes setting it up easy. One downside is you do need the app, without it the only button is a combined power on, and start button, so there no way to control it without the app. And on that point here’s the one big problem. I’m an iPhone user, the app works fine for the most part but you cannot log into the Facebook, when you put in a username and password it gives a white screen and goes no further. I’ve tried in IOS11 and IOS10. EE say there is no support for the camera and there is no fix. The EE forums say it works in Android but this no use to an Apple person. Overall It’s OK as a camera certainly worth the £20 I paid, but if you want to Livestream and you use Apple then this isn’t the product for you.

Will this camera connect and stream from home wifi

No, not with a normal wifi router. To do what your asking would require other types of hardware. Even then it still not might work because of needing the 4GEE capture cam app to work on it.
