Modern & Concise
MACUBE 550 is designed to present a modern and concise look. Novel functional designs like hidden air inlets and a magnetic glass panel help eliminate the unnecessary and keeps everything simple.
Anodised Aluminium Bar
With its diamond-machined edge, the anodised aluminium bar is fixed across the tempered glass panel to elevate aesthetic value and provide convenience.
Magnetic Tempered Glass Panel
The left side panel is made of grey tempered glass, mounted by permanent magnetic material that provides up to 24.5N of attraction force.
Scale Ventilation Holes
A unique ventilation hole array is integrated in the right side-panel. The dragon scale design adds the lingering charm of mysticism.
Deformation & Corrosion Resistant
The whole structure of MACUBE 550 is built with 0.8mm SGCC (hot dip galvanized steel) material. Compared to the commonly used SPCC (Steel Plate Cold Rolled), SGCC is more sturdy, tenacious and corrosion resistant.
All metal plates in the case are covered by matte coating through an electrostatic spraying process. In addition, Gamerstorm logos are concealed on the front panel and the hand bar. The combination of these two features bestow this case with a physical and metaphysical premium feeling.
Flexible Air Path
Dual air intake channels are hidden on both sides of the front panel. With the 6mm wide, low damping design, the intake channels provide abundant air flow for your system to breath.
• With novel functional designs and concise appearance designs, MACUBE 550 presents a mysticism and minimalism style.
• The tempered glass panel with aluminium bar is aesthetic and convenient.
• The unique dragon scale ventilation holes on the backside panel add on the lingering charm of mysticism.
• The scale ventilation holes can serve as either intake or exhaust, thereby making the air path of the case flexible and efficient.
• Structure built with 0.8mm SGCC steel, sturdy, tenacious and corrosion resistant.
• The combination of the matte coating and concealed logos brings premium feeling.

There's more choice than ever before, but which computer case is right for you and which features should you look out for?
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008
The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.
