Product Overview

Hybrid Laser + Infrared Scanning System

The CR-Scan Raptor combines blue laser and infrared light sources to cover scanning of small, medium, and large objects, supporting applications across industrial inspection, reverse engineering, and production workflows. It spans object sizes from 5 mm³ up to 2000 mm³, enabling capture of everything from micro-components and figurines to automotive parts and human bodies within a single system.

Metrology-Level Blue Laser Capture

A 7-line parallel blue laser system delivers fine-detail acquisition with line thickness as fine as 0.1mm for sharply defined point cloud edges. In laser mode, accuracy reaches up to 0.02mm at 100mm, supported by a 2.3 million pixel 3D imaging camera for high-density surface reconstruction. This mode operates with a working distance of 150–400mm, a minimum scan volume of 5 × 5 × 5mm, and scanning speeds up to 60fps for high-throughput capture.

Infrared Structured Light Scanning at Scale

Infrared (NIR) structured light scanning provides broader coverage for larger objects, operating with marker, geometry, and texture alignment modes depending on surface conditions. It supports working distances from 170mm to 1000mm, a single capture range of 665 × 574mm at 1000mm, and scanning speeds up to 20fps. Accuracy reaches up to 0.1mm with a 3D resolution range of 0.1–2mm and a minimum scan volume of 150 × 150 × 150mm.

Stable Handheld Capture and Tracking Control

One-Shot 3D imaging technology improves handheld stability by reducing tracking loss and supporting fast backtracking during movement. This enables smoother scan continuity across both laser and infrared modes, maintaining consistent data capture even during rapid repositioning.

Advanced Markerless and Marker Tracking Modes

Infrared speckle matching enables markerless scanning for objects with sufficient surface detail, while marker-based operation enhances tracking reliability for low-feature or complex surfaces. Alignment options include marker, geometry, and texture modes, allowing adaptation to different scanning environments and object types.

Black and Metallic Surface Capture

The system supports direct scanning of black and metallic materials without the use of scanning spray, enabling reliable capture of automotive components, tyres, and reflective surfaces while preserving usable scan data.

Full-Colour 3D Texture Capture

A 1920 × 1200 3D imaging camera combined with 12 circular LED texture lights enables detailed 24-bit full-colour scanning. Dual-color LED illumination improves brightness and colour consistency in low-light environments, supporting more accurate texture mapping across varied surfaces.

Face and Body Scanning Mode

A dedicated face and body mode uses a specialised mapping algorithm to capture facial detail and hair structure, enabling full-body scans in approximately two minutes. The system operates under Class I laser safety standards and includes automatic bed-leveling to support consistent scan positioning and safe operation.

Precision Calibration

A high-precision glass calibration board is used to maintain measurement consistency and sustain accuracy over time. An advanced temperature compensation algorithm helps stabilise performance across changing environmental conditions.
