Product Overview

Hyper 212 EVO

Succeeding the popular Hyper 212 Plus, the NEW Hyper 212 EVO carries on the legacy of providing a great balance of performance and noise level during high and low speed operations.

Effective Heat Dissipation

The Hyper 212 EVO cooling systems are designed and optimised to provide the best user experience and cooling potential for a new generation of processors. The Hyper 212 EVO now features four Cooler Master patented Continuous Direct Contact™ (CDC) heat pipes that are tightly packed into a flat array on the CPU Cooler base. This acts as a virtual vapour chamber that dissipates a large amount of heat. The aluminium fin structure has been optimised to provide the perfect performance balance between high and low speed fan operations.

Features
• Well-balanced cooling performance provides fin optimizations with perfect balance between high and low speed operations.
• 4 Direct Contact heat pipes with the patented CDC™ (Continuous Direct Contact) technology - creating a perfect, sleek surface for heat conduction.
• Wide-range PWM fan with unique wave-shaped blade design for excellent airflow.
• Versatile all-in-one mounting solution supporting the latest Intel® LGA 1366 / 1156/55/51/50 2011/2011-3 and AMD FM1 / AM3+.

Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, 4 Heat Pipes Direct Contact, 120mm Quiet Fan, for Intel/AMD is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coming from an AIO.. Coming from a 120mm AIO that lasted me 7 years before the pump died.. I decided to go to old, reliable air cooling! The 212 evo is easy to install (took about 20 mins), Higher idle temps but lower max temps after a 4h gaming session. i5 2500k @4.6Ghz went from 26C idle - 72C max / Now it's about 30C idle - 62C max! The stock fan was a little loud so I replaced it with a corsair SP120 @2000 rpm. Much quieter and slightly better temps. I didn't use the free thermal paste.. Trusty Arctic silver 5.. All in all great product! Strongly recommended! Would buy again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great cooler on a budget I've had this cooler for over 4 years now and haven't had a single problem with it. It is definitely worth the £25.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for small cases. Dropped my idle temps by about 25c. Literally the best £26 or so I've ever spent. It's massive though so make sure your case is big enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect air CPU cooler If you're planning on going the air cooled route, with your new build then this is the perfect cooler for you! My temps dropped 5 Degrees C, from my other one. I have an I7 7700k, temps stay below 45 degrees C, they hover around 28/29 on idle! Much better than my other one (I cannot remember the name of it).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hyper 212 Evo Quite easy to fit and keeps everything a lot cooler. Slightly disappointed as it's a little bit noisier than I hoped but it's still a lot quieter than the standard fan so I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative to a AIO liquid cooling! Purchased this as a replacement from a Corsair H55 liquid cooler. I only have an i5 4670 at stock speeds so nothing fancy. This cooler is absolutely amazing, it's great quality, great looks and it keeps temperatures on par if not slightly lower than my old H55. Idle is around 22 degrees and when gaming it reaches around 48. Just be aware that this is a large cooler and may not fit in all cases so do some research first!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low price cooler The CPU cooler decreased the temperature of my CPU (i5 4690k 3.5GHz) by 10 degrees. This is a very good replacement of the stock CPU cooler would recommend. However the cooler can be fiddly and the instructions are not very clear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Good product, weird bracket not fitting in any direction on my 1151 socket not sure why but overall good cooler, big and heavy for effective heat disappation

Just wondering if anyone can help me out by telling me if this will fit in my case. My case is the InWin Fanqua and my Mobo is Asrock Extreme 4. I appreciate any and all help. :)

I'm not sure, but you can check! The top point of the heat-sink is 158.5mm (check if you have a gap the same size/bigger than that).
