Intel’s been on a mission of late. That mission revolves around grouping and standardising key technologies under various banners that are designed to ensure hardware compatibility and consumer ease of use. We’ll take a closer look at three such technologies that fall under the headings of Centrino, Viiv, and vPro, respectively.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition, 1x 120mm Fan, Single Tower, Aluminium Fins, 4x Copper Heatpipes, Intel/AMD is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good CPU cooler it is a very good cooler lowering my r5 3600 temps by up to 30C in some cases. very good value for price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool! I bought this to replace the abysmal Wraith cooler supplied with my AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. Easy to install and looks good in my all black setup. Temperatures dropped by around 20°C and it now idles silently at about 35°C depending on ambient temperature and doesn't go above 60°C even when running Cinebench R20 with a slight overclock. Overall very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice quiet cooler Paired this with a i7 2600, as everyone knows at this price point this is a great cooler, keeps this CPU nice and cool all black subtle design too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this cooler Installed this onto an Gigabyte x570 aorus elite. I did have to switch the backplate, which was slightly annoying as if they'd provided screws just 2-3mm longer I could have used the stock one. Anyway- with the stock cooler my 3600 was hitting 95*C and couldn't even hit the standard full boost frequency of 4.2Ghz because it was getting too hot. With the cooler, it's sitting at around 65*C full load, and happily runs at full boost. It's also nice and quiet, and the sound frequency it makes isn't hard on the ears (unlike the horrible drone of the stock cooler). Overall, really nice product, highly recommended. Incredible value at this point point too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cooler for good price This is actually the 2nd one I’ve bought as I built a 2nd system.. have had no issues with either, they look good and the fan stays pretty quiet.. a good upgrade from the wraith stealth that came with the cpus.. recommend this!
Date published: 2020-07-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Silent and Compact For it's size it manages to cool quite significantly the CPU and without disturbing noise. Easy to fit on the system

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Perfect, my cpu was hitting 90deg with standard crappy cooler on my new Ryzen 3600, this brought temps down and whether I’m rendering or gaming I’ve never seen it go past 73degrees
