Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not bad, not great. A real dog fitting to an AMD ITX motherboard using the included AMD clip. Fitting the heatsink nearly bent the board and fitting the fan bent the blades in the sink and cut my fingers to shreds. Annoyingly, for AMD CPU's only, the fan can only be situated either blowing up or down and not pointing left and directing out of the rear case fan like on the Intel form factor. Not ideal for ITX cases with no top exhaust. On top of this, if you install an M.2 SSD under the CPU (where most are situated for ITX motherboards) the heat from it will be exhausted into your CPU fan and back into the heatsink lol. If you want the fan blowing down then you'll have to turn the whole thing around (and upside down) and have it blowing warm air into your GPU. So which is it to be? Hot CPU or GPU....?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good at cooling, hard to fit This is the first CPU cooler I've fitted. It's doing an excellent job at keeping my CPU cool in a Fractal Design Mini C case. Idle temps of 25-28 C! Be aware it is very awkward to clip the fan to the heat sink fins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from keeping it cool I used this cooler on my 2016 build with a light overclock i7 6700k 4.5Ghz in gaming sessions it sits between 55-65c never seen it past 65c and for the prices its great and the fan is effective yet quiet... will be using this in my sons i5 8600k build need I say more... :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fab value This is smaller than many of Be Quiet other coolers but it works great. The bottom is flat unlike some of Cooler Master's heat pipe coolers. There are YouTube videos showing how they're installed. On YouTube is a 3-part video “The production of be quiet! CPU coolers” showing how they're made. You won't believe how much work goes into making them. They are like jet engines and much money is involved with their construction. Inside the pipes is copper powder and a tiny amount of water which flows up and down, up and down. The pipes have to do an extremely demanding task as efficiently as possible. You really are getting some high precision engineering. That's why the makers have to test them without any fans running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool & Cheap For a relatively simple design this cooler is rather efficient. For the past 24 hours I've been running 3 cores on an i5 haswell at 100% load. Monitoring with Core Temp 1.7 the cpu hasn't yet got past 65 degrees. Im unaware of the ambient temperature but its easily above "room temperature" the only issue I had with this cooler is the pretty cheap feeling mounting system, it's the same kind as the stock cooler for intel it does the job ok but isn't the easiest to install.

AM4 bracket in 2019

Hi, the last time someone asked this question was 2 years ago. Now though, be quiet!'s own website states that the Pure Rock Slim is AM4 compatible out of the box. Are the ones sold by Scan AM4 compatible and has the AM4 bracket included?

AM4 bracket

Does this cooler comes with AM4 bracket? Or do I have to contact Be Quiet about it myself?

The manual/install instructions only cover AM2(+) & AM3(+) using the supplied AMD metal mounting clamp, I believe AM4 uses a different mounting system unlike previous sockets which were backwards compatible for coolers
