Rated 5 out of 5 by Paddy84 Probably the best entry level audiophile headphones out there
Considering how much these cost, I decided to get these after years of overpaying for "gaming" headsets, and i don't regret it, i paired these with a fiio e10k and the sound quality blew me away.

I honestly think this is the price-performance sweet spot. Great sounding, easily driven and the 3 different included cables are brilliant.
The biggest con is the low comfort after long periods of use with mine squeezing just below my ears causing aching.

Great tracking headphones, Mid range a little less detailed than I might like for mixing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Askew Great sound, poor comfort
This is such a bittersweet product, it has arguably among the very best sounds for this kind of price range, a touch more bass than the M40X due to the larger drivers, a touch less high end than the M50 preceding it, 3 removable cables of different lenghts, it was just right for me in several ways that are hard to find in one headphone.
The negative is comfort, this headphone is sinfully uncomfortable with the stock pads, they are some kind of cheap pleather and will sweat and heat your ears up in a very short amount of time to the point where I had to keep fidgeting to let air into the cups or just take them off for a while.
If you are willing to swap the pads out and experiment to find others that don't alter the sound too much be my guest, but be warned about the standard ones. I hear these don't turn hard after a year or so like the original M50s did, but they are not much of an improvement and I returned mine because of this.
I wish they offered an upgraded pad for some extra cash, I'd even have paid more for the headphone if the pads were better, and probably kept them.
I miss the sound, it's truly very very good and I'd tested several headphones in that price range including the Beyerdynamic DT770 and the M50X were my favourite to actually listen to, and that's why I have to give them 4 stars.
If you want comfort, the Beyerdynamic DT770/880/990 cans with the velour earpads are the single most comforable headphones I've ever worn.
