Offering 32 line inputs and 32 line outputs in a single rack unit, it provides a straightforward way to connect a large-format console, extensive outboard rack or hybrid mixing setup directly to your DAW. The connections are arranged across eight DB25 sockets, keeping a substantial amount of studio connectivity within a compact footprint. With 32-bit conversion, operation up to 192kHz and up to 133dB of dynamic range, the Horizon 32 is designed to keep the conversion stage out of the way of your equipment. It gives your analogue processors, summing chains and console outputs a clean route into the computer, while retaining the detail and headroom expected in a professional recording environment.

A dedicated stereo mix-bus input is particularly useful for hybrid studios. It provides a separate return path for your final mix, leaving the 32 main line inputs available for other equipment rather than having to sacrifice channels for the master print. Independent stereo monitor outputs also make it easier to maintain a dedicated reference monitoring path. Thunderbolt 3 connectivity provides 50 inputs and 50 outputs overall, combining the analogue connections with digital I/O in one system. Dual ADAT I/O adds up to 16 channels of digital expansion, while BNC word clock connections allow the Horizon 32 to integrate with other digital studio hardware. Switchable +18dBu and +24dBu operating levels also make it easier to match the interface to different pieces of professional analogue equipment.

Latency is kept impressively low, with round-trip performance down to 0.99ms at 192kHz using a 64-sample buffer. That makes the Horizon 32 well suited to recording and monitoring through native plug-ins, while still giving you the flexibility to work with a sizeable hybrid setup. Horizon Control brings routing, metering and monitoring into one software environment, with a virtual patchbay for managing signals across a busy studio. Monitor functions include mono, polarity, dim and reference level controls, while the onboard comfort reverb can be used to give performers a more useful headphone monitoring mix.

The system can also grow with your studio. Up to four Horizon interfaces can be daisy-chained through a single driver, allowing multi-unit systems with up to 200 inputs and 200 outputs. That makes the Horizon 32 a practical long-term choice for facilities that need serious channel counts without constantly rebuilding their recording and mixing workflow. The Audient Horizon 32 is ultimately a specialist interface for serious analogue integration.
