*LIMITED EDITION* Audeze’s limited edition ‘LCD-24’ combines together the advanced technology from their flagship LCD-4, with a tuning highly reminiscent of their celebrated LCD-2. Delivering a hearty and refined signal featuring a dynamic midrange, thumping bass, and treble extension, attributes which have become iconic with the Audeze brand. Engineered for reference listening and also Hi-Fi’s, the LCD-24 requires a mere 15 ohms, enabling them to be comfortably driven from lower-output devices, i.e smartphones, tablets etc. The LCD-24 has undergone an in-depth redesign process to ensure they’re lighter than the LCD-4z, making them just perfect for extended listening sessions.
Rather than using traditional dynamic cone drivers, Audeze’s LCD-24 utilises nano-grade uniforce diaphragms and ‘Double Fluxor’ magnet arrays to enable a powerful magnetic flux density. The LCD-24’s boast a broad frequency response of 5Hz to 50kHz, alongside an incredible THD of less than 0.1% and an efficiency of 96dB per 1mW. Furthermore, the suspension-style carbon fiber and leather headband deliver maximum comfort, perfect for those long nights in the studio! No discomfort to be found here! The benefits of magnetic planar design are numerous, such as noticeably faster transient response thanks to the lighter diaphragm, super-wide frequency with minimal distortion, greater heat dissipation, less moving parts for a longer life-span.
The LCD-24’s also showcase Audeze’s impressive ‘Fazor’ technology to carefully guide and manage the direction of sound for greater clarity, phasing, 3D imaging and overall frequency response. The magnetic body of the LCD-24’s creates a uniform magnetic field across the diaphragm, without the requirement for further ferromagnetic material traditionally found in other planar-style headphones to limit magnetic interference, harmonic distortion and a lighter overall weight. Audeze also kindly included a tough travel case, alongside a rugged 1/4” to dual 4-pin mini XLR cable.
