Had some audio issues and was considering to go for a dedicated solution. Was looking between the ASUS Soar and the Raid version, and eventually settled for the SOAR.
I'm more than happy with my choice. The sound reproduction is very good, even though I'm only using a 2.1 system. The microphone clarity is very good.
The software ASUS provides is of a good quality which gives ample choices even to the initiate in the sound domain.
If I had to choose again, I'd still get the Soar.

I got this to replace the on-board MSI audio (which was too quiet). However, I have 3 problems with this product.
1. It requires a separate 6-pin connector. I don't know why I needs this, other sound cards do not require this.
2. The driver software (under Win10) is terrible and simply does not work as required.
3. This sound card makes a switching/clicking noises all the time when the PC is turned on/off. Not a problem, but annoying.
I got rid of this and purchased a SoundBlaster ZX instead, which is excellent.
