ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING, AMD B550, AM4, DDR4, SATA3, PCIe 4.0, Dual M.2, SLi/CrossFire, 2.5GbE/ax Wifi, ATX is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mobo Bought this motherboard with the Ryzen 9 3900x as i dint want to spend a fortune on amazing boards at this time was aiming to upgrade after a year or so but so far I am not dissapointed and will probably end up keeping this board instead of upgrading. Great value for money and having 0 issues so far everything is working as it should. Great having a USB type C in the back and the USB 3.2 Gen 2 port for the front panel connector as well. Highly recommend this motherboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Asus ROG Strix B550-E Gaming Ive had a few new release products over the years for both AMD & Intel chips, I kind of expect a few teething problems with new tech however I've been running this for three weeks or so now & its been unsettlingly stable, maybe a sign of the maturity of the 3000 series processors/boards The board itself felt robust, a solid feel to the build quality, it certainly wants you to know its of the higer end tier in the B550 range, I feel Asus has made an effort with this board and the benchmarks on it have shown its a decent performer. With this being on the 3rd floor of the house Wifi 6 was a definite appeal for future proofing the machine, I dont have a wifi 6 router yet though but I was using a PCI-e card before which prevented a few layout choice with the case fittings, wasnt sure how it would perform with my current AC router but its been just a good as the card I was using in speed & stability With PCI-e 4 onboard although less than the X570's implementation it feels future proof enough for my use, the real downside to the method employed here is if you use the second M.2 sockets you lose sata 5/6 - no issue for the machine its in however. Comes with all the mobo leads you will need to get set up, personally like the sata leads with connectors that click in so they dont come loose, always a bonus. The Wifi 6 stand however, its looks so simple to construct being just two piece that look like they slot together, probably took me longer than building the whole PC With this being a swap out/in to a current machine the layout didnt pose any problems, cables all reached where they should Style wise looks great, board all lit up with the wraith prism cooler as well, no problems hooking it up to my cases RGB controller & syncing either Overall very pleased with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great feature packed board I got this board for my first RYZEN build using a 3900x, big fan of Asus boards been using them for the last ten years+ with no problems, and this board was no different. The build went super smooth and was booted up and running quickly. One of my reasons for picking a B550 board over an X570 board was the lack of a southbridge cooling fan on B550's, as I like my pc to be almost silent so this again ticked the box. Extra VRM chips on this Asus B550 Gaming E are also a bonus when running higher power CPU'S such as my RYZEN 3900x. The RGB parts of the board are not too in your face, or blingy wich is a good thing. overall a very well built good quality board as you would expect from ASUS, very happy with the B550 board so far and can not pick a fault with it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality motherboard with a lot of features I spent a while looking at the X570 boards for a new build, first time back to AMD for about 15 years. After reading about the new B550 chipset it seemed that you could get nearly all the same specs for a lower price. I wanted good VRMs and fast WIFI so choose the ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING as it fitted the bill. I have installed a ryzen 7 3700x with 32 gb of Corsair ram and used an M.2 for boot drive. The whole installation went very smoothly and after making the appropriate bios changes put Windows 10 onto the M.2 stick. I really like the quality of the motherboard and accessories that came in the box. The rgb lighting is good and you have the choice of 12v or newer 5v addressable headers for pimping it up! All in all I would definitely recommend this motherboard to anybody building a new rig and it will also work with the next gen of Ryzen coming out in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ASUS ROG Strix B550E Gaming This is a solid motherboard that offers much of the features found on their X570 boards like PCIe 4.0 which is a nice addition for gen 4 NVME drives and future graphics cards. Its superb power delivery is plenty for the current Matisse and future Vermeer AMD processors with ample headroom for overclocking The board itself looks good with a tasteful amount of RGB lighting and NVME covers. In use this board was painless to setup with its intuitive UEFI interface and was able to get up and running in Windows in no time at all. As of 05/07/2020 this is the only ASUS B550 with an onboard USB Type-C header As for some cons, this board could have more USB3.0 Type A headers on the rear IO. But, this can be solved with a USB PCIe card and possibly some more chassis fan headers, but this can be solved by using fan splitters Overall, this is a solid B550 motherboard that is paired with Ryzen 7 3700x with 16GB DDR4 3600 CL16 memory

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Close to perfection. Zero defects sofar. Mounted it in the case and it powered up straight away - no trouble of any kind. OS booted cleanly and hasn't shown any signs of instability at all. Clean and smooth all the way. XMP is perfect - my 64gb of crucial memory is up and running at spec. OS is booting and running off the M.2 drive - no glitches at all. All the temperatures are good - it runs nice and cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STRIX B550E GAMING ASUS STRIX B550 E GAMING, RYZEN 9 3900X BUILD... A great little motherboard, with some fantastic features... There are enough fan headers inc AIO if that's your preference... After a little messing around with my setup, I managed to have enough USB connections too, it could maybe do with a few more USB 3.0 on the rear panel for my liking but you read the sale page and make your choice, so can't complain...haha It looks great in the case with all its fancy RGB if you like that, + alongside the 1080ti Strix, stunning... EK Waterblock Quantum Velocity keeps it running cool... The Corsair HX750i runs this no problem, RDR 2 and TC Breakpoint approx 350w while gaming, with all my setup. That doesn't seem to break a sweat... Custom H20 @ 2 x XSPC RX360s, D5 Laing etc.... I tried the Ryzen with the Prism cooler and they can run a little warm for my liking, in my home office environment...You also see the core temps fluctuating 10oC here and there, there is quite a bit of talk about this across the web, so nothing to worry about, I don't think. I think it is just how it reads it with the software. I really like the board and layout, I look forward one day to maybe trying a PCI-E 4 M.2 Card in it ... The only issue I had was regarding memory, I was using my older 2013 Gskill Trident Z "E Die" I was trying not to have to upgrade that too... AMD Ryzens tend to focus towards "B Die" nowadays for greater compatibility... The memory in question 3400MHz C16 and I could only run it stable at 3000Mhz, maybe something to look at as a future upgrade...I haven't spent a long time looking into this yet, might work with different timings, voltages etc... So still testing that... But even at 3000Mhz, it runs really fast, a great setup... Overall I feel a decent Mobo, I did watch a lot of videos across the web before purchasing as this mobo is fairly new out. It was between this and the X570...My choice was this maybe as it was newer model out and had the features I needed... I also compared this to a 9900K setup, but at the price point and core count, for my usage I thought I would try AMD for a change, I must say I'm very happy... I'm not an AMD or Intel fanboy, I do like bang for the buck and right now this for me is that alongside the fact the B550E GAMING will accept the next-gen of CPU, was worth a consideration... Great Mobo...!!!
