It's the second one I bought, because for me a DVD RW is still a standard need, but not only don't laptops have them, many desktops don't, either. Perhaps they need to go on the junkpile with floppy drives, ZIP drives and so much else. In the early days CD RW were unreliable, and I'm amazed at how fast and reliable the so much cheaper DVD RW has become, so much so that there's not much to say about them, except it's a pity I can't find one with replaceable fronts, as I have a need for a silver one and a beige one..

I have 3 in different PC's and none have failed and the price of the drive is very good so if it fails won't cost much to replace

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, Good Quality and Excellent Value. I needed an optical drive for my new build as my Windows 10 Software, and most of my other software, is on disc. At the time I bought this drive it was on a Black Friday deal so it really did represent excellent value for money; especially given it’s M disc support. Installation was a breeze with the drive being recognised without any problems or driver installation and in use has proved to be fast, quiet and so far perfectly reliable in both reading & writing. A god quality drive that has suited my requirements down to the ground, highly recommended. Regards. Ade.

These drives are ideal and very cheap when an existing drive needs replacing and no further software is required. fitted in minutes and up and running without re-installing drivers. The retailer is just superb with their very frequent and informative communications during the ordering and delivery process. Items arrived within minutes of their advised time slot. If all other suppliers were as good, buying would be much less stressful. Top marks for product and supplier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it works just fine. Only had occasion to use it a couple of times. 1st to install windows 10 and system drivers etc. 2nd to make a full backup. It works just fine, dunno what else to say, its cheep and effective i suppose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from M-Disc Support The new type M-DISCs are reported to have properties of very long life, and this is a requirement of saving photos for your grandchildren and future generations. I have experience of even the best CD/DVDs becoming difficult to read at the 10 year old stage. I had a 150 watt halogen grandfather and child lamp near my shelf on which I kept my DVD archive of photos, the effect this lamp had on the DVDs was the edge of the DVD nearest caused a deterioration in disc as to be very nearly unreadable. So I bought 2 drives, one to update a computer the other as spare. Write and read tests resulted in very few errors.

Will this fit the Corsair Obsidian 750 D Airflow Edition?

It should do. It fits a standard 5.25 bay, and the case in question seems to have those on the front. Depends on what else you intend to fit in that area with regard to available space.
