The ASUS DRW-08D6MT is an 8X half-height internal DVD writer built for modern chassis compatibility. It is 30 mm shorter than usual 5.25" drives (but still fits snugly into existing trays), creating more room for airflow and improved clearance inside the case.

Unobtrusive Design
The compact 140 mm depth improves CPU cooling by allowing better airflow and reducing heat interference between the optical drive and CPU for stable performance. The reduced length also provides improved compatibility with 120 mm and 140 mm fans, as well as 280 mm AIO coolers, making it suitable for performance-focused builds where internal space is at a premium.
Windows 11 Ready
The drive connects via SATA and includes a SATA 15-pin to 6-pin Slimline Power cable for easy PSU connection. Supported operating systems include Windows® 11, Windows® 10, and Windows® 8.1. Minimum system requirements are an Intel® Pentium® 300 MHz or higher CPU, 128 MB RAM recommended, and 10 GB or more HDD space. No bundled software is included with this model.
