I used this motherboard to build a fairly power efficient workstation and development machine. My requirements were for support for Haswell CPUs, ECC RAM, 6 SATA ports, USB 3, Intel NICs and mini-ITX form factor - which this motherboard fills perfectly.
I equipped it with an Intel Xeon E3-1240L v3, 16GB ECC RAM (2x 8GB Crucial CT102472BD160B.18FED), an EVGA Nvidia GT 730 1GB graphics card, and Tascam US-2x2 audio interface.
Initially had some stability problems when the PCIe graphics card was installed (random freezes, at load and idle) but this was resolved by updating the BIOS to version 2.10. The BIOS version 2.10 release notes mention "Improve PCIe cards compatibility".
This board does have onboard graphics - an Aspeed AST2300 which needs some extra drivers to use with Xorg, but is fairly limited performance and feature-wise. This is fine for servers, but I wanted to use this machine for general desktop tasks, driving a 2560x1440 display, so I added a Nvidia GT 730 which works well.
All the hardware is supported in a standard Linux kernel, CPU temperature, EDAC (ECC RAM error reporting), Intel I210 Ethernet, and IPMI drivers all standard and working fine (no ECC corrected/uncorrected errors reported yet, but edac-util seems to work). Booting Linux in UEFI mode works fine.
Overall, very impressed with the features for a little mini-ITX board. Support for updates seems to be good so far, as Asrock have just added support for Broadwell Xeon processors in the latest BIOS.
