Problems with onboard LANI've tried two of these motherboards (Scan replaced the first one). Both had the same problem. On first clean install Windows 10 won't get the onboard NIC working, so you have to install with a local account, but that's only the start. Once you've installed and booted you then try to install the ASRock supplied LAN driver on the CD and it crashes your installation and messes up the BIOS settings so it won't reboot correctly. When you sort the BIOS to force a reboot you need to do an Automatic repair of Windows to fix it, and you still have no network. I used a USB based LAN driver to get mine working and downloaded the latest drivers from both ASRock and Realtek - both have the same problem of crash and corrupt Windows. I replaced the motherboard and had the same problem with the next one too and now just have a PCI NIC installed instead.

Good value stable & reliableThis has been used as the basis of my 1st new-build PC for a few years.
The quality of the board is very good, with everything solid and well-made, but without frills.
I'm not seriously into overclocks etc, but there appears to be plenty of scope for it if that's what you want.

Great Ryzen 5 boardReally easy to use BIOS, good support for RAM, nice aesthetics.
I got some Corsair LPX RAM (CL15) that wasn't on their QVL and it still overclocked to 3066mhz

More than enough connectivity for me !I couldn't get it to turn on at first so had to RMA it which was very easy thanks to Scan's service. It was tested by Scan and they found no fault so I got it back and they were right ! Must have just been a error on my part, although I tried it with another PSU and still couldn't get it to work.
All the connections and features that I could ever need and more, plenty of possible future upgrade possibilities too.
Apart from the RGB fan header there are 2 other PWM fan headers and a 3 pin fan header plus another 2 USB fan headers.
I am using an aftermarket cooler and was able to get a suitable adapter kit from another supplier very cheaply.
The manufacturer code on the Ryzen 5 1600 is different on the "supported list" to what is shown when purchasing the product from scan itself, would the CPU still work with this board without needing to go back to the manufacturer for a bios update?
(Already purchased the CPU and really don't want all the hassle of sending the board back for a bios update if it doesn't / wouldn't post)

If the supported CPU list does not specifically state your particular model of Ryzen CPU we cannot guarantee it will be compatible without a BIOS update.
